Community Radar #17

Welcome to the latest Arma Reforger Community Radar, or as we also call it, #COMRAD. We're excited to showcase another exemplary set of community content for everyone to enjoy. Let's get right into it!

COM-ART

Neon_Canvars nails it with this awesome shot, capturing a standoff between Soviet and US forces. With a jeep held up and both sides eyeing each other, it makes you wonder what really went down before war broke out on Everon!

This shot by DriftyTime captures the intense moment as US forces break through Soviet lines! This screenshot features the Stryker mod by TheSpaceStrider, which is seen kicking up dust as it charges forward. We love the coloring and setup!

This screenshot by Virtual Force brings the heat! Soviet push forward through the chaos and smoke, covered by a BTR. It's a great shot and likely one you'll see around the island while playing. Just make sure you always cover your vehicles with infantry support!

This image captures that peaceful summer vibe, but it is no doubt just the calm before the storm. Soldiers patrol the checkpoint, and you might even notice the BRDM in the background. You can peek at it in our experimental application before it comes out in a future update. Great work on this one by GhostovichSSOT!

Sometimes, in the midst of all the chaos, you just need a moment to breathe. This artwork by KaLiNa beautifully captures someone taking a peaceful fishing break as the sun sets, offering a much-needed respite from the madness of war. We absolutely love these creative scenes and can't wait to see more!

COM-DEV

NORMOD is an exciting new project created by a team of veterans and community modders that brings the Norwegian Armed Forces to the Arma platform. They’re starting strong with a focus on the basic rifleman loadout from the Norwegian Telemark Battalion and the creation of a unique 32x20 km2 Lofoten terrain. As they expand, they’ll add more factions, vehicles, and equipment. We can't wait to see how this mod evolves through its stages! After a lot of hard work, TepacheLoco's British Forces mod version 1.0.34 is finally live! The update brings a bunch of exciting additions, including the bar mine, 58 pattern yoke and holster, and a variety of new weapons and equipment like the GPMG Air Defence Mount. Plus, they’ve revamped the L85A1 with updated animations, sounds, and iron sights, bringing even more realism to the mod. Check it out now and enjoy all the improvements made! Til W has dropped an awesome mod for terrain makers called Enhanced Maps, which changes the look of Everon and Arland paper maps and allows modders to create improved paper maps for their terrains. If you're a terrain creator, definitely check it out and make your maps stand out! For players, you can find the mod on the Workshop here, and for terrain makes learn how to use it from GitHub.

The Bacon Loadout Editor mod by Bacon has been around for a little while now, but it's still a fantastic option for players who want an easy way to customize and organize their loadouts, especially on modded servers with tons of additional gear and equipment options. With just a few clicks, you can customize character inventory slots, add equipment, save multiple loadouts, and streamline your setup so you can jump into the action faster. If you’re looking for a different way to manage your gear, this mod is worth a try!

COM-OPS

In case some modders missed it, Bohemia Interactive announced the Make Arma Not War 2025 contest for Arma Reforger in January! With over $100,000 in prizes, this competition is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your modding skills, whether you're a veteran modder or just getting started. Along with cash prizes, winners will get their mods promoted through Bohemia’s official channels. Check out this awesome video by KingAlex, a real-world British Army Sniper who brings real-world tactics to Arma Reforger! It’s fascinating to see how he applies his expert knowledge to the game, offering some serious tips and tricks for sniping. If you want to up your sniper skills, this video is worth watching!

Jackfrags lands himself in "ArmaField," a modded game mode by Evgeny__N that brings old-school Battlefield gameplay dynamics to Arma Reforger. The mod creates fast-paced action while still keeping the strategic depth and scale Arma is known for. If you’re nostalgic for classic Battlefield vibes with an Arma twist, check it out!

Ironbeard, a community veteran, takes on the role of the "Arsenal Police" in one of his latest video! His mission? To stop the waste and unauthorized construction of arsenals when resources could be focused on more critical structures, like radio stations. It’s a hilarious yet thoughtful take on logistical management, and Ironbeard’s commitment to the cause is truly commendable!
