DESCRIPTION
Escapists 43 — FUBAR
A 1940s total-conversion of Escapists. You're a downed airman somewhere behind enemy lines — come to at your wrecked plane, link up with the other survivors, and break out across occupied territory while the enemy tracks you down, by land and air
It's the whole Escapists loop rebuilt for World War II: every faction, weapon, vehicle, uniform and civilian swapped for period gear, and a stack of the best WW2 mods on the workshop stitched into one cohesive prison-break.

The WW2 conversion
Full both-sides reskin — US Army vs Wehrmacht: faction rosters, loadouts, WW2 arsenal whitelists
The bomber-crash start
Cinematic cold-open with title reel (hold F to skip)
A field radio playing one full song at the crash site
Spawn armed: faction sidearm + smoke grenade
B-17 / Ju 88 crash-site wreck props
The AI navigator companion (1Lt Walts / ObLt Zimmer)
Follows you from the wreck — 56 voiced lines, written and produced for this mod
Treats your wounds and revives you when down
Mounts vehicles with you (gunner seat first)
Strict return-fire discipline — never shoots first
Occasionally sings
The enemy air war
Scripted CAS fighter patrols with strafing runs and original synthesized engine/flypast sound
Recon bomber sorties — stay out of sight or pay for it
On-screen warnings: CONTRAILS / SPOTTED / REARM

this is an ongoing thing and very much a work in progress. it's built singleplayer / co-op first, so expect some rough edges. if something's broken or spawns wrong let me know and i'll get to it. more coming down the line — a red army faction's parked for now, plus more crash-site variety and a proper soviet roster when i get round to it.
