Operation Shardholder

Two days ago, a small civilian aircraft reported a sighting of what has been identified as a surface-to-air missile over the Atlantic ocean, in the vicinity of Barzan island. A USAF KC-46 tanker also reported a ping on their radar warning receiver in the same area, though no lock was achieved and no missile launch identified before they had escaped radar range. This has sent civilian airliners operating in the Atlantic into a state of panic and grounded air traffic over the Atlantic, and whilst the US government has issued a formal complaint and sanction against Russia, who currently occupies Barzan island under a peacekeeping mission, no military action has been taken. IPS-Keystone has taken on a joint contract from a conglomerate of civilian airlines with the intent to confirm the presence of, locate, and destroy any LRAD emplacements on Barzan island.
