Encounter Project

Summary

The Encounter Project is a zombie survival mod inspired by DayZ and Vigor, featuring persistent saving, dynamic loot, base building, and personal storage.

Description

The Encounter Project is a zombie survival mod inspired by DayZ and Vigor, designed for both solo and multiplayer experiences, players start with nothing and must scavenge for supplies while facing the undead, rival factions, and other survivors.

Game Overview:
You awaken in a post-apocalyptic world with nothing but a knife. Survival requires venturing beyond the safety of your bunker into a dangerous and unpredictable world. Before stepping outside, it’s wise to take some time to explore your bunker and become familiar with its layout and available resources. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to begin your journey, including basic supplies, a place to store your loot, shops where you can buy and sell goods, and systems to manage your in-game currency.

Exploring the World
When you feel ready, you can leave the bunker and begin exploring the open world. Loot can be found in a variety of places—from inside houses to scattered across the ground—but danger is ever-present. You’ll encounter the undead, hostile factions, and other survivors who may see you as a threat or an opportunity. Navigating this world requires caution, but those willing to take risks often find the greatest rewards.

Loot Storage
As you collect loot and fill your inventory, returning to the bunker becomes essential. You can store your valuables in a personal locker, which offers secure storage for your most important items. Many items you find can also be sold to in-game shops in exchange for currency. For those looking to expand outside the bunker, a storage box can be purchased from the Building Shop, allowing you to start a personal stash or construct a base in the wilderness.

In-Game Economy and Vendors
The Encounter Project includes a fully functioning economy system driven by vendors located throughout the world. Various shops serve different purposes: the ATM allows you to manage your in-game currency; the Drug Dealer lets you process and sell illegal goods; the Fishing Shop provides a place to sell your catch; the Food Shop handles consumables; the Gun Dealer sells weapons and ammunition; the General Store deals in a wide array of supplies; the Building Shop offers base-building and storage blueprints; and the Vehicle Shop lets you purchase persistent vehicles that remain until destroyed.

Storage Lockers
Every player can claim one personal storage locker within the bunker. This locker is tied to your profile and ensures the security of your items. However, if you attempt to claim a second locker, the original one will be permanently deleted, so choose your storage location wisely.

Currency System
Currency in The Encounter Project is stored on a digital Currency Card, which is required for making transactions at any vendor. In addition to digital currency, physical money notes can be found in the world and exchanged at the ATM inside the bunker. If you die while carrying a Currency Card, its contents will be lost unless you or another player retrieves it. To protect your funds, you may want to store your wallet in a secure location before heading into danger.

Vehicles
Vehicles play a key role in exploration and survival. Those found in the world are not persistent and will respawn after each server restart to ensure fair access. However, vehicles purchased from the Vehicle Shop are persistent and will remain available to you until they are destroyed. (Vehicles in Solo gamemode will stay persistent)

Food and Hunger
In The Encounter Project, managing your hunger is essential for survival. You’ll need to eat to stay alive. Food can be found across the map or purchased from the cafeteria located inside the bunker. For hydration, players can drink directly from wells scattered throughout the world. Staying fed and hydrated is a core part of surviving the harsh environment, so always keep an eye on your supplies.

Weed Processing
Weed processing is another unique feature of the world. Weed buds can be discovered in greenhouses scattered across the map. These buds can be brought to the Drug Dealer’s table for processing, which increases their market value significantly before being sold.

Fishing System
Fishing is a relaxing and rewarding activity. After equipping a fishing rod, you can cast into the water and catch fish, which may then be sold at the Fishing Shop. Alternatively, fish can be processed into fillets for greater profit when sold at the Food Shop.

Base Building
Base building offers long-term progression and personalization. To begin building, players must purchase a Base or Stash Book from the Building Shop. Construction requires gathering logs, which can be found near log piles, and nails, which are commonly discovered in houses or can be crafted using metal at the Building Shop. With enough effort and planning, you can create a secure home or hidden stash anywhere in the world.
