Summary
Mike force, But Halo, on Reforger.
Description
HALO MIKE FORCE
A PvE co-op campaign on Anizay: Mike Force from SOG Prairie Fire, rebuilt for Arma Reforger in the Halo universe. You are the UNSC. Push out from Landay Airfield, take the province back one zone at a time, and hold every zone you win.
THE ENEMY
Each zone is held by one of three enemy factions, never the same one twice in a row:
- Covenant: Grunts, Elites, shield domes, plasma caches, Banshees and Phantoms.
- Insurrectionists: URF infantry, technicals, mortar teams, Vampire and Iron Head tanks, and artillery.
- The Flood: an infestation that rolls in with a sandstorm, and asteroids that crash down and release more Flood.
HOW A ZONE PLAYS
1. ASSAULT: the zone has a garrison HQ and its own sites: camps, AA, motor pools, caches, comms relays, hostages and more. Defenders patrol around their sites. Clear them all.
2. COUNTERATTACK: once the zone is cleared, the enemy comes back in three escalating waves: infantry, vehicles, aircraft and support fire. Survive all three to win the zone.
3. INTERMISSION: about 10 minutes to rearm, then the next zone opens.
Progress is saved, so the campaign carries on after a server restart.
SIDE OPS
Optional fights just outside each zone. Clearing them weakens the zone's defence:
- Roadblocks and patrols.
- Comms relays: clearing one reveals every site in the zone.
- Flood infestations.
- Recon spotters. Kill them before they call in fire: Insurrectionist spotters call in a ship strike from orbit; an Elite Recon Lance calls in a Covenant corvette that glasses the ground in a sweeping plasma beam.
FEATURES
Campaign
- A full zone-by-zone campaign across Anizay for up to 40 players, from the UNSC base at Landay Airfield.
- A different enemy faction in every zone, never the same one twice in a row.
- Every zone has its own sites, and each zone has a garrison HQ.
- Site defenders patrol around their posts instead of standing still.
- Comms relays, beacons and hostage rescues have a capture bar: hold the site until it fills.
- Three escalating counterattack waves to finish each zone.
- Enemy waves bring support fire:
- Insurrectionist mortars and artillery barrages.
- Flood asteroid strikes.
- Side ops outside every zone that weaken it when cleared.
- The campaign is saved, including side ops and the leaderboard, and picks up where it left off after a restart.
Enemies
- Covenant: Grunt squads, Elites, shield domes over their sites, plasma battery caches, and Banshee and Phantom patrols.
- Insurrectionists: URF infantry, technicals, armed UAZs, Vampire and Iron Head tanks, AA sites and mortar crews.
- The Flood: infestations, asteroid crashes that release more Flood, and a sandstorm that builds over Flood zones.
- Orbital fire support:
- Insurrectionist ships fire a three-round strike from orbit.
- Covenant corvettes glass the ground with a sweeping plasma beam.
- Enemy aircraft fly over the zones, and enemy vehicles find their way into the fight.
The UNSC
- Three roles, each with its own arsenal kiosk at the main base:
- Marine.
- ODST.
- Spartan, on the full-size Spartan body with Spartan-only armour.
- Kits: save a loadout and redeploy with it. The Bacon Loadout Editor is also available.
- ODST drop pods: launch from the station at base and drop anywhere on the map. Land on a mud house and it caves in.
- Open to every role while 10 or fewer players are on.
- A vehicle depot and aircraft pads: Warthogs (including Chain and Rocket Hogs), Pelicans, Falcons and more.
- Third-person camera, no stamina limit, and earplugs.
Map and teamwork
- The main base and your own position are marked on the map.
- A leaderboard at the end of each zone ranks players on kills, vehicles destroyed, sites taken and troops delivered. Type /stats any time.
World
- A weather cycle that changes gradually over about 90 minutes.
- On Flood zones, a sandstorm builds up during the intermission before the zone opens.
- Game Master is available with no budget caps.
ADMIN COMMANDS
