Description
Fight, bleed, survive. These are the core principals to survival.
Inspired by the days of old, when survival wasn't more nuanced and intricate than it needed to be. You will require food, water, and supplies to keep your team in the fight.
- UNITED SECTORS ARMY:
"Unite. Survive. Adapt. The United Sectors are here to pull the peace together from the remnants of society after the bombs fell. The last remnants of a once mighty army, still marching towards a goal unknowable. The United Sectors Army is based inside of an old mining facility located just east of Simon's Wood. Their equipment is light but extremely effective, your typical United Sectors Operator will be sporting M16s as they stalk their way through the wastes in a tireless effort to wipe the Red Star and bandits from their lands."
- RED STAR MILITIA:
"Once a vast army now reduced to warbands. The Red Star Militia is a loose confederation of an invading force that attempted to seize these lands before the bombs fell, the ancient and mortal enemy of the United Sectors. In their futile efforts to storm the islands against the once mighty United Sectors they exhausted their forces thin, and in doing so they were subjected to the same nuclear annihilation as the rest of the populace. The Red Star Militia are based in an old science depot outside their once mighty stronghold in what was once Levie, now reduced to radioactive gas and rubble. However, still rich in military resources from ages past. The Red Star troopers still arm themselves with Kalashnikov rifles, however they are known to quickly adapt to the dangers at hand. As the march of time continues, they seem to only become more emboldened. Almost irrespective of their force exhaustion."
- BANDITS:
"Those that survived the initial flash but did not seek higher ground before the fallout ensnared the islands, they are mutated and highly aggressive. Retaining much of the same faculties of their previous lives but prone to extreme agitation and unpredictable behaviors, this "shared" psychosis seems to be a hallmark trait between the wasteland bandits; giving them a sense of shared unity and brotherhood in their madness. They can be equipped with just about anything the wastes offers, and they employ their gifts with wreckless abandon and complete delight in their chaos. The bandits base themselves in the forests north-west of Levie, between the headquarters of the Red Star Militia and the United Sectors Army. Some have reported witnessing bandits detonate themselves with suicide belts or in vehicle born IEDs with complete devastation and disregard for life. They will use whatever they can against any entity that does not share their belief, be it alive or inanimate. The bandits of the waste have only one motto: "Witness me."
- WASTERS:
"Civilians caught between the nuclear glow of two world super powers, the population that survived the initial flash sought high-ground in the mountains to the south-west of the islands to escape the mutating effects of the fallout. The Wasters base themselves in the Peninsula of Courbet in the sprawling mountain range of Castle Ridge. In their insurmountable struggle to survive they've come to adore the wrecks and machineries of the wastes, constantly changing equipment to better suit their needs they are never seen in any one uniform nor equipped with any standardized firearm. The Wasters are notorious sharpshooters and excel in mountainous combat at extreme ranges and they use this skill to defend their ranges and scavenging locations with deadly efficiency. They can be seen usually sporting a long rifle of sorts and weapons that reward steady fire-rate and accuracy."
