v0.3.42 – Player Lifecycle Update 
• Added player-distance lifecycle management for ambient zombie groups. 
• Zombie locations activate when a real player comes within approximately 500m. 
• Existing groups remain protected while any player is within 800m of the spawn area or any living member of the group. 
• If all players remain more than 800m away for 5 continuous minutes, the abandoned group is cleaned up and the location returns to a dormant state. 
• Returning within 800m resets the cleanup timer. 
• Distance cleanup does not count as a combat wipe and does not trigger the normal respawn cooldown. Respawn behaviour: 
• Partial group losses are not automatically refilled. 
• A fully wiped group starts its normal location cooldown. 
• Respawn still requires a real player to return to the area after the cooldown. 
• Current cooldowns vary by encounter type from approximately 5–20 minutes. Also retained from the new BlackReign ecology: 
• 220 independent ambient ecology locations across Everon. 
• Improved coverage of villages, isolated houses, farms, roadside areas and secluded POIs. • Multiple nearby locations can populate independently. 
• No forced global resident zombie population. 
• No per-town or per-player zombie quota. 
• Nephilim and Nightingale special encounters retained. 
• Project Outbreak noise reinforcement remains separate from ambient spawning. 
• STW compatibility profile retained with aggressive automatic cleanup disabled. This update focuses only on zombie lifecycle and cleanup behaviour. The proven v0.3.41 spawning system and geography remain unchanged.
