Community Radar #12

Welcome to the latest Arma Reforger Community Radar, or as we also call it: #COMRAD. We're excited to show off another set of community content for everyone to enjoy. Let's jump right into it!

COM-ART

In G4nDalf's screenshot, a CDF checkpoint guards a road entering a town. It seems they're using a little Extra CDF gear to help them out, but we love the attention to detail in this image. The signs especially are a nice touch.

Ghostovich truly nailed the action movie vibe in this shot, freezing a moment of intense combat as a Russian soldier throws a grenade toward the camera. We really liked the clever use of depth of field, blurring and implying the grenade's movement, adding a cinematic touch that captures that suspended-in-time sensation.

This screenshot really paints a calming scene as Marines casually patrol through the mountainous terrain of Everon, created by ReapingVulture. Set against a stunning sunset, their silhouettes create a simple but well-done shot that really highlights the atmospheric lighting of the game.

COM-DEV

If you're a big fan of the immersive gameplay of the Arma 3 S.O.G. Prairie Fire CDLC, then you might enjoy TheOrangeDealer's mod for Arma Reforger that introduces the jungles of Vietnam on their new map, Ho Dong Hai. Although a work in progress, the map boasts diverse terrain featuring dense jungles and expansive farmland, all divided by a meandering river. We're excited to see what's to come.

Unveiled earlier this month, the HMMWV Avenger mod by TheSpaceStrider introduces a nimble, short-range air defense system. As highlighted in these captivating images by DriftyTime, the Avenger has formidable capabilities, equipped with Stinger surface-to-air missiles and an advanced radar system – making it a serious threat to pilots!

If trains are your thing, don't miss out on the Rail Enfusion Redux mod by Til. Featuring upgraded rail assets from Arma 2, this mod allows you to effortlessly lay tracks using splines – a great tool for modders and terrain makers alike. Get more details on the Workshop or head over to the Arma Discord.

COM-OPS

For the holiday season, our team has a special treat for the community – a festive game mode: Capture & Hold: Snowball Fight! Players got to fight Snowfort Castle, where players can engage in hilarious snowball battles. Til beautifully captured the fun during a play session with the community, and we can't wait for more exciting moments in the coming year. Thanks for all the joy last year, and here's to a future filled with even more fun!

In the heat of battle, war can reach far beyond the frontlines, as shown by jacktheviper. This serves as an important reminder always to stay prepared – bullets may whiz by unexpectedly.

Bohemia HQ was delighted to host a surprise visit from the esteemed community modder, Greg! Greg is well-known for his Night Vision System mod. During his time with us, Greg even got to have some quality hangout time with Edita. We always cherish these opportunities to connect with our community and discuss our passions for Arma.

COM-VIDEO

Community veteran Ceb Cin released a video sharing his top picks for the best mods for Arma Reforger in 2024. In this video, he examines some of the different assets, terrains, game modes, and more available for the community to enjoy heading into the new year.

For those seeking an added challenge in Conflict, Hardcore mode offers a more demanding yet fulfilling player-versus-player experience. Check out Ironbeard's video, where he breaks down the intricacies of Hardcore mode and provides a glimpse into the gameplay it brings.

We're always on the lookout for more captivating cinematics, such as the great video "Eastern European Conflict" by Collective FX, skillfully edited from in-game public multiplayer scenarios.

Experience the thrill of an official play session (OPS) with JamesH97, who captures the gameplay featuring our Community Manager Nillers creating a scenario on the fly in the Game Master mode. If you're eager to join one of these sessions in the future, stay tuned to the Arma Platform social media pages for announcements and updates.
