TNT Realism Overhaul

Summary

The TNT picture: six clarity levels with their own pictures, colour-blind modes, deeper ambient shadows, explosion effects, a performance guard. No head or gun movement. Needs TNT Core.

Description

TNT Realism Overhaul -- the TNT picture. Needs TNT Core 1.3.0 or newer.

1.4.0: the look is set for the whole server by the Game Master (Game Master toolbar > TNT Settings > TNT Realism). Every game starts with everything at the maximum. Each player picks only his own colour-blindness correction (pause menu > TNT Colour Blindness).

What the Game Master sets for everyone:
- Picture: Game's own, Comfort, Natural, Tactical, Capture or Maximum (the start value). Maximum = the deepest shadows, the strongest contrast and colour. No picture adds grain.
- Explosion shake: 0-200 % (start 200 %). Close explosions shake the view, a little later for far ones.
- Colours drain for a moment after a close explosion, with colour fringes at the edges of the picture (both on at the start).
- Performance guard: if a player's game runs below 20 frames per second for 5 seconds, the colour drain and fringes switch off on his screen until it runs above 25 again. The picture itself costs nothing extra.

Colour blindness (each player, his own screen): Protanopia (red-blind), Deuteranopia (green-blind), Tritanopia (blue-blind), Achromatopsia (no colour vision). The correction is built into every picture, at no frame cost.

Always on: deeper ambient shadows -- corners, furniture against walls and the ground under trees and bushes get real depth on every platform, at the same cost as the game's own quality setting.

No head or gun movement in this mod (load a movement mod such as CERTII Simulated Movement if you want it).
The menu tells you if another loaded mod does the same job (EO HDR 10).
Made for PC, Xbox and PlayStation; tested on PC.

CREDITS
- Look reference: EO HDR 10 by EO -- its daylight look was the target; nothing was copied.
- Night vision support: NV-System (loaded by TNT Core) -- TNT Realism only reads whether your goggles are on.
- Colour-blind correction: the Fidaner / Vienot daltonization method (public research), computed into TNT's own colour tables.
- TNT Core by Tactical Nap Time.
