GM Event Director

GM Event Director is a modular event framework for Arma Reforger Game Master scenarios. Place configurable event locations, launch them manually, or let the server-authoritative Director schedule events using player population, timing, eligibility, cooldowns, and selection weights.
Its modular architecture supports additional event types and custom Missions without rebuilding the Director.

INCLUDED EVENTS

AERIAL DROP
A parachute-supported supply container descends into the operational area. After landing, the parachute detaches, signal smoke begins, and players can open the container to access a one-shot Loot Stash.
Configure drop height, descent time, lifetime, smoke, loot, and proximity-protected cleanup. The container supports terrain-aware landing and outward-opening doors.

MISSIONS
Deploy AI-guarded objectives with optional one-shot Loot Stashes. Select Random, Checkpoint, or Gunship, with support for additional custom Mission configurations.
Configure AI difficulty, behavior, operating radius, mission lifetime, cleanup protection, loot, eligibility, and Director selection behavior.

HELICOPTER CRASH
Positional rotor audio announces an approaching helicopter before the crash site appears and an impact cue plays.
Configure AI guards, smoke, loot, alerts, map markers, audible range, lifetime, and proximity-protected cleanup.

KING OF THE HILL
Creates a capture zone on suitable terrain or a stable rooftop. The flag advances while eligible players occupy the zone, remains contested when opposing players are present, pauses when empty, and does not lose earned progress.
Scoring supports individual players or non-stacking groups. At full capture, the highest-scoring eligible player or group wins. Tied leaders must secure the zone through overtime.
The winner receives a one-shot Loot Stash with temporary winner-only access before it becomes public. Configure the zone, capture timing, scoring, overtime, vehicle eligibility, smoke, loot, reward lifetime, and cleanup.

HOW TO USE
Enable GM Event Director and Loot Stashes. Players must download both addons.

Start a compatible Game Master scenario.

Open the GM Entity Browser and select the GM Event Director content filter.

Place one or more event cards at valid locations. King of the Hill supports suitable ground and stable rooftops.

Open each card’s Properties and configure its Director, event, AI, audio, cleanup, and Loot Stash settings.

Save and close Properties to apply your settings. Use Launch Now to start an event immediately.

Press V and open GM Event Deck to configure global scheduling, population targets, alerts, markers, and runtime capacity.

New scenarios begin in Manual Only mode. After placing and configuring your events, change Director Mode to Automatic to enable scheduled launches.

Press V and Save to preserve placed cards and settings. Hosted servers must enable native session saving and loading for restart persistence.

Note: Best practice,  Press V and pause the Event Director when adding new event locations, then reactivate the Event Director to automatic to resume.

GM Event Director is licensed under the Arma Public License Share Alike (APL-SA).
You may use, modify, and redistribute this addon for Arma Reforger, including as part of servers and scenarios, provided that derivative works remain licensed under APL-SA, proper attribution is retained, and the material is not used outside Arma games.

Loot Stashes remains a separate dependency governed by its own author’s terms and must be downloaded from its official Workshop page. GM Event Director does not redistribute or modify its files.
