Description
ENGLISH
Ghost Hunt is an asymmetric PvP scenario on Arland. A small Special Forces team infiltrates the island to destroy a target, then must reach an extraction boat. A larger force of insurgents defends the island and hunts them down. One third Special Forces, two thirds insurgents, from 3 to 24 players. English and French included.
LOBBY
- Players pick their post by interacting with the sign in front of a soldier: rifleman, sniper, anti-tank, explosives for the SF; rifleman, machine gunner, sniper, anti-tank for the insurgents
- Countdown chosen by the Game Master; remaining posts are assigned automatically
- Short cinematic flyover of the island before every round
SPECIAL FORCES
- Start on boats off the island, with the objective marked on the map
- One random target among several types and positions: helicopter, BTR, supply truck, ammunition cache
- Once it is destroyed, an extraction boat is revealed: at least half of the surviving SF must reach it
- One hidden tent lets an SF rest and skip time to midnight; generators switch the surrounding lights off
- Time left announced every 10 minutes, on-screen countdown for the last 5
- A killed SF does not respawn and follows his teammates as a spectator
INSURGENTS
- Start at their camp with vehicles; respawn there 30 seconds after death
- Their map shows the areas where the SF objective may be, never the objective itself
- Alerted with grid coordinates when the SF complete their objective
- Win if every SF is neutralised or if the round time runs out
SPIES
- Civilians on the island work for the insurgents
- A spy who sees an SF gives him 30 seconds to take him out; otherwise his position is sent to the insurgents
GAME MASTER
- The GM spawns in his own zone with arsenals and one soldier per role
- Give your outfit to a role, wear a role's outfit to tweak it, or reset it to default: no equipment mod required, load the ones you like
- Launch the game from the GM table; settings in the scenario properties: expected players, round duration, lobby duration, lobby day or night
- Outfits and settings are kept by the server between rounds
Players joining during a round watch it as spectators and switch between players of both sides, then join the next lobby. At the end of a round the scenario reloads by itself.
