SyykoNT Sampan Crew Orders

Game Master orders and a player hail for the boat crews of SyykoNT Sampan Crew.

STAY-HIDDEN ORDERS (Game Master)
- Move (stay hidden): drives to the point and ignores enemies it sees: no arming, no standing up, no getting out, no shooting.
- Hold (stay hidden): waits at the point under the same rules until you give another order.

Cover breaks only when the crew or its boat is actually fired on: a hit on a crewman or the boat, or the game's own AI deciding the group is under fire. A firefight 300 m away didn't break it in testing. Then the crew fights as usual while the order stays in place. An MG crew holds fire until then.

Civilians never arm, so for them these work like plain Move and Wait.

The orders also work for groups on foot, such as the VC Ambush Team from SyykoNT Sampan Crew on a river bank: on Hold (stay hidden) they hold fire until they are fired on or hit.

Both orders are in the Game Master waypoint list. Select a crewed sampan's group (or its helmsman) and place the order like any other waypoint. A new order replaces the old one. When a stay-hidden order ends, the group's combat mode goes back to what it was before the first one.

HAIL A BOAT (players)
BLUFOR players can stop a crewed sampan and let it go again, from the bank or from any seat of their own boat. Look at the boat, within about 30 m:
- Hail boat: stop (Shift+H): the crew stops, drops anchor and holds, seated and hidden, until shot at.
- Hail boat: carry on (Alt+H): the crew raises anchor and carries on with its earlier orders.
Both are also in the F1 gestures menu, and the keys can be changed under Sampan Crew in Settings > Controls. Any BLUFOR player in range can let a stopped boat go. A hint says what happened, or why it didn't work.

A stopped boat holds its place within about a metre and is back at cruise speed within about 4 s of being released.
