22SAS Equipment

Custom equipment for the 22SAS unit. Adds two tactical stun grenades and a
pair of wire cutters, all available from any US arsenal.

THE GRENADES

Flashbang — a single detonation. One point-blank hit blinds for several seconds,
leaves your ears ringing, and slows you to a stagger while you recover.

9-Bang — nine flash-and-bang pulses over roughly five seconds. Each pulse is a
fresh detonation that re-evaluates everyone nearby, so there is no recovering
between them. Turning away or breaking line of sight partway through genuinely
helps.

HOW A HIT IS JUDGED

Every blast sweeps the radius and works out what each person actually took,
from three things: how close they were, whether they were facing it, and whether
anything solid was in the way. A grenade around the corner still rattles you —
walls muffle sound far less than they block light — but it will not blind you the
way one at your feet does.

WHAT IT DOES TO YOU

Sight the screen washes out, holding at full before easing back
Hearing a ringing tone, with the world dropped hard underneath it
Movement slowed to a stagger until it wears off

The effect extends rather than stacks. A second grenade tops you up; it does not
multiply into something twice as bad, and a distant one will not cut a
point-blank one short.

THE WIRE CUTTERS

Compact bolt cutters. Carry them anywhere in your inventory and every barbed
wire and chain-link fence section offers "Cut wire". Hold interact for five
seconds and that one section is gone; the rest of the fence stays standing.

Works on barbed wire, concertina coils, knife rests and the chain-link fences
across the map, including wire built in Conflict or placed by a Game Master.
Bare fence posts cannot be cut.

TECHNICAL

Server-authoritative — the server decides who a grenade caught and which wire
was cut; clients are told what to draw
Available from any US arsenal with the mod loaded; no admin step
Every grenade value is a prefab attribute — radius, blind and deaf times,
pulse count and interval — so a unit can tune it without touching code
The grenades override no vanilla files. The wire cutters override the vanilla
barbed wire and chain-link fence prefabs, so another mod that changes the same
prefabs (Wirecutters 2, for one) will conflict. Run one or the other.
