22SAS Equipment

Custom equipment for the 22SAS unit. Currently adds two tactical stun grenades,
built to behave like the real thing rather than like a damage grenade with a
white flash bolted on.

THE GRENADES

Flashbang — a single detonation. One point-blank hit blinds for several seconds,
leaves your ears ringing, and slows you to a stagger while you recover.

9-Bang — nine flash-and-bang pulses over roughly five seconds. Each pulse is a
fresh detonation that re-evaluates everyone nearby, so there is no recovering
between them. Turning away or breaking line of sight partway through genuinely
helps.

HOW A HIT IS JUDGED

Every blast sweeps the radius and works out what each person actually took,
from three things: how close they were, whether they were facing it, and whether
anything solid was in the way. A grenade around the corner still rattles you —
walls muffle sound far less than they block light — but it will not blind you the
way one at your feet does.

WHAT IT DOES TO YOU

  Sight     the screen washes out, holding at full before easing back
  Hearing   a ringing tone, with the world dropped hard underneath it
  Movement  slowed to a stagger, applied server-side so it is not a suggestion

The effect extends rather than stacks. A second grenade tops you up; it does not
multiply into something twice as bad, and a distant one will not cut a
point-blank one short.

TECHNICAL

  Server-authoritative — the server decides who was caught; clients are told what
  to draw
  No vanilla files are overridden, so it should sit alongside other mods cleanly
  Available from any US arsenal with the mod loaded; no admin step
  Every value is a prefab attribute — radius, blind and deaf times, pulse count
  and interval — so a unit can tune it without touching code
