Summary
FOR MODDERS ONLY — not for regular play. Sample JSON faction for Procedural Combat’s custom-faction pipeline. Still in testing/development: expect changes and bugs.
Description
FOR MODDERS ONLY
This is a developer example for Procedural Combat custom factions. It is not meant for regular players or casual servers.
Status
This feature and example mod are still being tested and developed. Expect changes, incomplete behavior, and bugs. Please be patient while I iterate.
What this mod is
• A working sample of the JSON faction config system
• Shows the full config shape: infantry pools, player roles, vehicles, air/reinforcements, campaign fields
• Includes a small script that registers Configs/Factions/EXAMPLE.json with SF_FactionGroups
• Prefabs intentionally reuse vanilla US assets so you can study the pipeline without custom art
What this mod is NOT
• Not a finished faction for skirmish/campaign play
• Not balanced or themed content
• Not something you should leave enabled on public servers “for fun”
How to use it
1. Subscribe to Procedural Combat and this example mod
2. Open the addon in Workbench and inspect EXAMPLE.json + the register script
3. Copy the pattern into your own mod (unique factionKey, your prefabs, your display names)
4. Disable this example when you ship or play your own faction
Docs live in Procedural Combat under Configs/Factions/ (README + _TEMPLATE.faction.json).

If you are a player looking for new factions to play: this is the wrong mod. Look for finished faction packs instead.
