NOT WORKING ON ARMA REFORGER 1.8
Bohemia have confirmed the 1.8 relay behaviour is a bug. 1.8.0.13 lists a fix for "Radio
would not work sometimes" and it does NOT restore this device - measured on 2026-09-04, two
devices side by side with no relay of their own in range, delivering nothing, exactly as on
1.8.0.10. The mod waits on a later build.
WHAT IT DOES
A handheld translation device. Hold one, hand a second to the person you want
to speak to, select the translator in your radio menu, and the two of you can
understand each other.
Range is a few metres, so you have to stand with them. Both parties need a
device and both need it selected.
It exists so that talking to a civilian or a prisoner is something a player
does in the world rather than something arranged out of character.
The device is an ordinary gadget-slot item, so you can add it to an arsenal
catalogue, put it in a character loadout for an interpreter role, or place one
from the Game Master mid-operation.
No dependencies, nothing to configure.
