Description
You already know **Freedom Fighters** — the partisan campaign on Everon, Hearts & Minds in every town, supply runs, base assaults, and that slow push to drive out the occupier.
**Resistance RP** keeps all of that and opens it up for **multiplayer**: two human sides (**FIA** and **US Army**) in the same living world, both fighting **USSR AI**, with an optional **FIA vs US** war when your server wants more drama.
No new map. No replacement game mode. Same FF you love — **more players, more stakes, more stories**.

### Play as FIA or US
- Pick your side: **`#faction fia`** or **`#faction usa`**
- Your faction shows on the map — bases, FOBs, and captured objectives use **your colours**
- Different kit: **partisan gear at your FOB**, **US kit at captured military bases**
- Both factions can **liberate towns**, take jobs, trade, and fight the same USSR threat

### The sandbox loop
1. **Push the occupier** — raids, battles, QRFs, town support (classic FF)
2. **Hold ground** — military bases, factories, radio towers flip to **FIA or US**
3. **Build forward** — **`#fob`** drops a deployable base for your faction (one per side)
4. **Gear up** — armories and equipment stores at FOB and captured MOB
5. **Dig in or expand** — sandbags, helipads, garages, the full FF build menu where allowed (see **AI recruits** below)
Progress can **carry over between sessions** on persistent servers — your faction’s bases stay yours after restart.

### FIA vs US town influence
On top of vanilla Hearts & Minds (**FIA ↔ USSR**), each town tracks **cosmetic prestige** between **FIA and US**:
- **Supply runs** and **posters** shift influence (zero-sum — rival loses what you gain).
- **Hover a town** — always shows **Influence FIA X / US Y** (from 0/0).
- **Map colour** on **liberated** towns reflects the prestige leader; **USSR towns stay red** until capture.
- Pure map/UI — no spawn or ownership change vs USSR. Rivals get a **popup** when you deliver in their territory.

### AI recruits (Living Area)
- Build a **Living Area** (recruitment tent) at your **`#fob`** or a **captured military base** you own — **FIA or US**
- **One tent per base** — you cannot stack multiple tents for a free AI garrison
- Tent fighters spawn **armed**, like vanilla Freedom Fighters — **pay to hire** them into your squad
- Hired fighters stay with you; ambient tent AI despawn when everyone leaves the area (server performance)

### USSR fights back
Hold too much and the occupier **plans counter-strikes**:
- You get **warning time** — prep, then a threat window
- **Show up to defend** or you can **lose the objective without a shootout**
- Attacks focus on factions that are **actually online**
- Still **FF battles and waves** — familiar fights, bigger picture
The map should feel **alive**, not like you capture everything once and coast.

### MP server performance (ambient world)
On **persistent MP** servers, ambient life simulates closer to players (better FPS):

Fewer distant NPCs until you approach — intentional. Battles, garrisons, and tent recruits unchanged.

### Optional FIA vs US war
**Default: peace.** FIA and US share FOBs, respawn, shops, and tents — one coalition vs USSR.
**`#war on`** (admin) enables rival PvP: contest each other's bases; **wear your faction uniform** (pants + jacket + headwear) to fight cleanly. HQ/hideout stay shared. USSR and civilians stay PvE either way.
