Description
Following the US Operation Dead Anchor and the use of tactical nuclear weapons, the hot phase of the conflict could no longer be stopped. The Warsaw Pact countries launched an offensive on Europe.
On August 28, 1988, National People's Army troops were to cross the border between East Germany and West Germany, eliminate any possible resistance, and establish a bridgehead for the Warsaw Pact troops to advance further toward the Ruhr Basin.
