- The Black Trident 95 mod is a multi-faction project aiming to represent a fictional alternate history set in a divided Ukraine following the collapse of the Soviet Union.  
- Inspired by Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, it explores Cold War what-ifs with authentic 1990s gear.  
- This will eventually be comprehensive enough for Co-op, PvP, and Campaign missions with naval, urban, and armoured combat.

Timeline: 1991–1995:

- 1991  
  - Ukraine declares independence.  
  - Military units across the country split allegiance.  
  - The Carpathian Military District (Lviv) sees early mobilization of UNA-UNSO forces.  
  - Chaos erupts over control of Soviet stockpiles.

- 1992  
  - Flashpoint: Sevastopol Crisis – RF-AFRF attempts to retain control of the Black Sea Fleet.  
  - Ukrainian naval units defect, sparking armed conflict.  
  - The 1464th Naval Reconnaissance Battalion becomes the core of the 7th Naval Spetsnaz Brigade under Kyiv-aligned forces.

- 1993  
  - Western Uprising – UNA-UNSO seizes depots in Lviv, Ternopil, and Ivano-Frankivsk.  
  - Captured T-72s, BMP-1s, and BTR-60s begin appearing in partisan units.  
  - Defections from Soviet-era regiments bolster their ranks.

- 1994  
  - Full-scale civil war erupts.
