Description

⚠️ EXTREMELY WIP — EXPECT BUGS, PERFORMANCE ISSUES & FAST UPDATES
This mod was built in only 2 days, so instability, unbalanced behavior, and heavy optimizations still need work.
It will be updated constantly as new features are added and systems get refined.

📦 What This Mod Does

A dynamic IED system that spawns bombs along roads near players, creating unpredictable ambushes and persistent danger across the map.

✨ Main Features
🚧 Dynamic IED Spawning

IEDs are spawned near roads, around players, within configurable distance ranges.

Each player creates multiple “spawn candidate points” to keep the battlefield dynamic.

🤖 Smart Density Control

Ensures IEDs don’t spawn too close to each other.

Maximum active IED count keeps the scene under control.

🧹 Permanent “Clean Zones”

When an IED is destroyed, the area becomes a no-spawn zone, preventing repeated spawns in the same spot.

Clean zones can last permanently or decay over time (configurable).


📡 Road-Based Placement

Finds the closest road segment around each player, then spawns IEDs:

Centered on the road

On the road edge (left or right)

All settings exposed in the HK_IEDConfig.c script (Will be easily in the future):

Type probabilities

Wire offsets

Easy to configure per mission — no script editing required.

🚷 Player-Only Explosions

IED triggers are patched so only human players set them off.

AI walking over wires won’t trigger them.
