Longmoor

Longmoor is a recreation of the British Army's training area in Hampshire, built for Arma Reforger with an emphasis on authentic terrain, immersive environments, and realistic infantry combat.

The Longmoor terrain contains 8 points of interest, with the key point being the central training town where most activity takes place. The town is split into two, with furnished modern buildings for COIN operations and dilapidated, barren buildings for more kinetic training.

The town also features a historic railway line with large culvert access beneath the line, allowing people to pass through, including an enterable underground tunnel system with several entrances spread across the urban area.

The surrounding terrain contains dense woodblocks with long internal sightlines, while also featuring large open areas with sparse cover and concealment.

Micro terrain has been a major focus. You'll find lots of dips, depressions, berms, re-entrants, old platoon harbour and fighting areas hidden throughout the woods, and even the infamous "babyhead" tufts of grass that make almost any vehicle movement a nightmare, with one small slip enough to completely destroy your ankle. Good luck fighting on these!

Civilians also share MOD land, so not too far from the training camp there's a small estate where military families and caretakers of the grounds typically live, complete with a local pub, shop, and football field.

Longmoor is my first release for Arma Reforger and a project I've built in my spare time around work, family life, and education. As a former British Army soldier who trained on these grounds, many locations have been recreated from personal experience alongside extensive reference material.
