Summary
Helicopter insertion for Freedom Fighters – Reoccupation: AFRF counterattack
▎ reinforcements fly in by Mi-8, land away from the objective, drop off the
▎ real attack group and fly away.
Description
MCW REOCCUPATION AIR ASSAULT
Adds helicopter-borne reinforcements to Freedom Fighters – Reoccupation
counterattacks.
Instead of simply appearing near the objective, a Reoccupation reinforcement
group is flown in by an AFRF Mi-8 transport:
• The helicopter starts from a hidden landing site far from every player.
• It takes off, flies toward the objective at terrain-following height and
selects an open landing zone outside the defended area (it avoids trees,
buildings, water, steep slopes and players).
• If a landing zone turns out to be unsafe, it goes around and tries an
alternate.
• After landing, the troops disembark and receive the normal Reoccupation
attack orders.
• The helicopter takes off again and leaves, and is only removed once it is
far from all players.
The transported soldiers are the actual Reoccupation reinforcement group, not
decorative extras. Faction, loadout, casualties and battle victory/defeat all
work exactly as in Reoccupation. Nothing is duplicated, and if an air assault
cannot be started, the group deploys the normal way.
If the helicopter is shot down or its pilot is killed, surviving troops
continue the attack on foot.
Only Reoccupation counterattack reinforcements are affected. Garrisons,
patrols, checkpoints, QRF, recon and civilians are unchanged.
REQUIREMENTS
• Freedom Fighters
• Freedom Fighters – Reoccupation
• RHS – Status Quo
STATUS: EARLY TESTING
This is a first test version. One helicopter per counterattack. Multiplayer
and dedicated servers are not yet verified. Back up your campaign before using
it.
Server-authoritative; no save data is added. An interrupted insertion is
resolved by Reoccupation's normal restart handling.
