# EXPBG GM Tools
Authors: M.Pac and K.Edgar | Version 0.1.5
One Game Master modpack. Use it INSTEAD of the standalone EXPBG GM Optimizer, Intel Items, Ambient Civilians, Ambient Destruction, Ambient Sounds and Persistent Battlefield items, never together with them.
- Garrison: right-click a building, choose EXPBG Add Garrison and pick an infantry squad. One squad takes reachable guard posts and patrols indoors; a freshly spawned squad is trimmed to the safe capacity. Caching restores survivors at their exact positions; casualties are never replenished. Force Move releases the garrison.
- Unit Caching (formerly GM Optimizer): AI Cache Zones and the EXPBG UNIT CACHING CONTROLLER. Simulation pauses existing AI; Full removes supported groups and restores only survivors. Group cleanup deletes each AI casualty's body and dropped weapon together after the minimum corpse age once players have left, also while the survivors are cached. Use Prepare for Save before saving.
- Intel Items: manuals, notebooks, laptop and tablet with GM-authored title and text that players pick up and read; server racks whose intel players download onto an EXPBG USB Drive.
- Ambient Civilians: GM-placed civilian population module with density, theme and exclusion zones.
- Ambient Destruction: permanent building damage, rubble and road wrecks inside a GM zone.
- Ambient Sounds: positional war ambience, radios, crowds and emergency-alert TVs, plus 28 placeable EXPBG Sound modules (radio chatter, Hanoi Hannah, firefights, shelling, jets, drone, market, prayer, traffic, church bell, sirens and more). New modules start OFF.
- Persistent Battlefield: bodies stay while a player is within 80 m, vehicle wrecks persist, disconnected players keep their character for 15 minutes, weapon safety on spawn.
- No Game Master Budget: a Game Settings switch, EXPBG Enable Game Master Budgets (ON by default); OFF lifts the Game Master placement budgets for props, AI, vehicles, waypoints and systems.
- Unit Scripts: Hold Position, Freeze, ambient animations and Night Discipline (Light Discipline or Terror Tactics) for AI soldiers and squads.
- Unit Dialog: a speaker name and up to ten dialog lines on AI units; players use "Speak to <Name>".
- Advanced Briefing Map: a briefing board that shows one player's map view, markers and drawings live to everyone nearby.
- AI Surrender: broken AI squads may surrender; players interrogate prisoners for squad positions or identity.
- AI Global Skills: per-faction AI skill and aim with role overrides, rules of engagement (incl. warning shots) and AI ammunition refill.
- Ambient Unrest: EXPBG Civil Protest Zone with a static protesting crowd and angry crowd audio.
CDF Game Master Save: use EXPBG CDF Compat (07BC942D90324CD9) with this pack; the standalone CDF companions need the standalone mods and do not work with it. While CDF is loaded without EXPBG CDF Compat, Full caching refuses new removals; Simulation caching is unaffected.
