DIA PORTABLE AIR DEFENSE

DIA Portable Air Defense is a standalone AI-operated short-range air-defence system for Arma Reforger.

Developed by facio_86 / Divisione Italiana Arma, it combines original AI engagement and guidance logic with a licensed FIM-92 Stinger visual model and the native Arma Reforger weapon/projectile pipeline.

It can be used independently or as the shared weapon system for compatible faction addons, including the migrated RJC Anti-Air Reinforcement.

FEATURES

• FIM-92 launcher and missile visuals.
• Guided interception of hostile crewed aircraft.
• Drones excluded from target selection.
• Native warhead detonation, server-authoritative guidance and proximity checks.
• Missile smoke trail and additional cosmetic detonation feedback.
• Dedicated positional launch, motor and close-pass sounds.
• Simulated prelaunch and incoming-missile cockpit warnings for occupants of the targeted aircraft.
• Individually deployable US and USSR operators using vanilla equipment parents.
• One-man groups for Game Master and compatible scenario spawn lists.
• Optional interoperability with supported WCS countermeasure systems already installed. Automatic flare requests require the vehicle’s existing operational AUTO mode.

REQUIREMENTS

Arma Reforger only.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Installing the addon does not automatically equip all existing AI. Deploy its operators through Game Master or add its group prefabs to a compatible scenario’s spawn configuration.

This initial standalone release focuses on AI use. US arsenal integration is not included yet.

Target acquisition and firing depend on weapon readiness, alignment and line of sight. The cockpit warning is simulated; this is not a full infrared-seeker or aircraft-warning-sensor simulation.

PC/Xbox multiplayer testing and refinement are ongoing.

Do not combine this core with the old self-contained RJC Portable Air Defense Test package. When migrating, update the test addon to its extracted-core release and update the server and clients together.
