Arma Commander Actual

Better Battle Buddies

Cold War armour, helicopters and period kit for Arma Commander: Actual's US, USSR and FIA sides, from vetted Workshop mods.

An optional add-on for Arma Commander: Actual. Load it and each side's buy lists, squads and supports move to the late Cold War (1979-1991). AC: Actual runs without it.

US
- Buy the M113 and M113A3, FV510 Warrior, Leopard 1A5, Chieftain Mk.10 and AH-1S Cobra.
- Reserve Rifle Squad (M16A1), M14 Marksman Pair, Night Scout Team (M16A2 with the AN/PVS-4) and a Dragon AT Team with the wire-guided M47 Dragon.
- The command unit carries the M1911; armour crews carry the M3A1 grease gun.

USSR
- Buy the MT-LB, BMD-1, BMP-1, BMP-2, T-55, T-72A, T-72B, T-80U and Mi-24V Hind.
- Reservist Squad (AKM and RPK, M69 uniform) and a Metis ATGM Team.
- Heavy M88 winter coats on Kolguyev and Zimnitrita.

FIA
- Guerrillas in Cold War kit: G3 rifles, M1 helmets, shotguns, the M79, Uzis and G3SG/1 marksmen.
- Technicals to buy: UAZ and pickup with DShKM or SPG-9, and the BTR-40.

SUPPORT
- Attack helicopter: the Cobra for the US and the Hind for the USSR on each commander's support menu, flying gun passes and rocket salvos. On maps with helipads one can be bought for a pad.

HOW IT FITS
- Bought vehicles come with their own side's crews.
- The vehicle mods add every variant they ship (test versions, fictional upgrades, wrongly crewed copies). With this pack loaded, AC: Actual's buy lists keep only the vanilla vehicles plus the list above. Garrisons stay vanilla.
- Missions with their own requisition list keep it as written.

NEEDS
- Arma Commander: Actual 0.5.9 or later, and Better Battle Buddies.
- The vehicle, weapon and kit mods it uses (Zagoria 89, WCS, ARMA-RY and others). They download with this add-on. Everyone in a multiplayer game needs the same mods.
- Don't load Zagoria 89 Conflict or EventAssets alongside: they rewrite the vanilla US and USSR factions. ARMA-RY All In One isn't needed.

KNOWN LIMITS
- The AI commander uses the Cobra and the Hind only as its attack-helicopter support; it buys no other helicopters. Flown by a player, their rocket pods are fired by the pilot (WCS controls).
- Retro Attachments adds attachment slots to the vanilla M16A2 for everyone.
- WCS Armaments changes some vanilla behaviour for every AI (it keeps firing while running) and reduces blast damage to crews closed up inside vehicles.

The mods it loads belong to their authors and keep their own licences; none of their files are included here. This add-on: Arma Public License Share Alike (APL-SA), the same as Arma Commander: Actual.
