Description
US Navy Patrol Boat, River (PBR Mk II) for Arma Reforger 1.8. Listed for the US faction in Game Master.
Two versions:
- PBR Mk II: helmsman, twin M2 .50 in the bow tub, M2 .50 on the stern, an M60 on each side and 5 passengers (carries 10 total).
- PBR Mk II (no side guns): same boat without the M60s, 7 passengers (carries 10 total).
Guns:
- Both barrels of the twin .50 fire, and the rounds follow the sight.
- The side M60 sights line up: front post in the rear notch.
Handling:
- About 36 km/h flat out, about 42 km/h holding turbo (Shift).
- Stops from top speed in about 1.5 s.
- Rights itself after a hard hit, even from upside down.
- Can't be driven onto land.
- The helmsman can drop and raise an anchor (the parking brake key): the boat holds its place but still rides the waves.
- Spare M2 and M60 ammo and field dressings in the boat's storage.
Damage:
- Two or three RPG-7 hits sink it.
- A .50 cal or 12.7 mm machine gun needs about 200 rounds into the hull. PKM fire takes about 800 rounds of AP or 1800 of ball, and AK or M16 rounds can't sink it.
- The engine can be knocked out by one RPG hit on the engine box or about 6 rounds of .50 AP. The boat then can't move or restart, but stays afloat.
Requirements: Arma Reforger only.
For COALITION servers: the boat radio for Coalition VON is a separate mod, SyykoNT CVON Boat Radios.
Credits: the PBR model, textures and materials are from Operation RT US Vehicles by McTiddies4Lunch3, released under the Arma Public License (APL). They were moved to new resource paths so this mod loads next to Operation RT without clashing. The vehicle, seats, guns, handling and animations were rebuilt on vanilla Arma Reforger parts.
