No More Weathervanes

No More Weathervanes gives Arma Reforger’s UH-1H and Mi-8MT helicopters more freedom to change heading while carrying momentum.
The mod reduces excessive directional stabilization and adjusts handling to support crabbing, sideways gun runs, J-turns, and aggressive approaches. Pilots can work with the aircraft’s momentum while still managing drag, rotor thrust, and altitude.
Version 0.2.0 brings the refined Momentum Tune to all five supported UH-1H variants. This update balances yaw damping, banking behavior, and lateral drag to retain useful momentum while keeping broadside deceleration meaningful. The six Mi-8MT variants retain their separate, previously selected handling profile.
Included aircraft:
UH-1H: standard, armed, gunship HE, gunship HEDP, and civilian.
Mi-8MT: transport, armed, gunship HE, gunship HEDP, civilian blue, and civilian red.
The aircraft use Reforger’s native flight simulation and retain their inherited weapons, seats, mass, rotor systems, and damage configuration.
To use the mod, enable it and search for “NMW UH-1H” or “NMW Mi-8MT” in Game Master. Spawn the NMW version to use the modified handling. Existing stock aircraft keep their original flight model.
No third-party addons are required. Support covers the listed vanilla aircraft families; other helicopter mods require separate compatibility work. Mods that alter the same Game Master registration resource may conflict depending on load order.
