Description
UH-1(X) OVERHAUL
by CHATTERBOX 9-8
Six UH-1H variants built on the base-game Huey, for Conflict and Game Master. No other mods needed.
VARIANTS (rank / supplies / XP in Conflict)
- Heavy Hog (Lieutenant / 800 / 100 XP)
Pilot: 2x M134 on the M21 mount + 2x M261 (19x Hydra 70 HE each).
Chin (co-pilot seat): Mk 19 in the M5 chin turret, 350 rds.
Doors: twin M60D on pintles, 800-round belts, 10 spare belts.
- Guns Only (Sergeant / 500 / no XP)
Pilot: 2x M134. Co-pilot: dual controls. Doors: M134.
- Door Gunner (Lieutenant / 900 / 125 XP)
Pilot: 2x M134 + 2x M261. Chin: Mk 19 turret. Doors: Mk 19.
- Cargo (Sergeant / 300 / no XP)
No pilot weapons. Co-pilot: dual controls. Doors: M134. Full supply storage.
- Mixed Doors (Lieutenant / 900 / 125 XP)
Pilot: 2x M134 + 2x M261. Chin: Mk 19 turret. Doors: Mk 19 forward, twin M60 aft, both sides.
- M134 Doors (Lieutenant / 900 / 110 XP)
Pilot: 2x M134 + 2x M261. Chin: Mk 19 turret. Doors: M134, 4,000 rds each + 2 spare belts.
Every variant carries 98 flares in two tail-boom dispensers.
FEATURES
- Rockets: fire 1 to 7 pairs per press, set on the cockpit dial.
- WP rockets: white phosphorus Hydra 70s. Smoke plus a 12 m burning area for 90 seconds. Load them at a vehicle rearm station ("Resupply: WP", same price as H-E) or through the ground crew. "Unload all rockets" empties a pod so you can change rocket type.
- Flares: tap for one pair, hold for 3 pairs per second. Reload at a supply source (1 supply per flare).
- Fire extinguisher: 3 charges. Refills automatically at a friendly helipad, or with the refill action at the nose.
- Ground crew radio: land on a friendly helipad and call the crew from the radio on the centre console. Full rearm, refuel and repair, rockets (H-E, H-E-A-T, WP), refuel to 50-80 %, or repair only. Voice lines and subtitles; set them under Settings > Audio.
- Gauge repair: damaged or destroyed cockpit gauges are repaired by the normal station repair and the ground crew, or with "Repair gauges" at the nose (25 supplies per panel).
- Gunner readouts with ammo, spare boxes and zeroing; animated Mk 19 belt.
CONTROLS (rebindable under Settings > Controls)
- Flares: Insert (pad: RB + R3)
- Fire extinguisher: End (pad: RB + L3)
CONFLICT: XP COST
Heavy Hog, Door Gunner, Mixed Doors and M134 Doors cost XP as well as supplies and rank. The XP is taken when the helicopter is delivered, at the vehicle depot or the helipad. Requests are refused if you don't have enough. Works with or without WCS.

1. THIRD-PARTY ASSETS - NOT COVERED BY THIS LICENCE
This mod contains models and textures bought on CGTrader (https://www.cgtrader.com) under CGTrader's Royalty Free licence, some under Royalty Free (No AI):

All rights in these assets remain with their authors. This licence gives you no rights in them. You may not:
a) extract, unpack, convert or export them from this mod;
b) re-upload, repack or redistribute them, original or modified, anywhere;
c) use them other than by loading this mod;
d) use them for AI training, datasets or generative AI.
Breaches will be reported to the authors, CGTrader and Bohemia Interactive, with takedown requests.
2. USING THIS MOD
- You may load and use this mod, unmodified, in any game mode and on any server, public or private.
- Do not re-upload, repack, mirror, or merge this mod or any of its files into another mod or modpack. Load it as a dependency instead.
3. BUILDING ON MY WORK
The configs, prefabs, scripts, textures and other files I made (excluding anything listed in section 1) may be built on, changed and used in Arma Reforger, provided that:
a) your mod lists this mod as a dependency - do not copy its files into your mod;
b) you credit me (CHATTERBOX 9-8) as the mod author, and the asset authors in section 1, on your Workshop page and in your readme;
c) your mod is free and non-commercial - you may not sell it or charge for access to it or its content;
d) any new skin is your own artwork - do not ship edited copies of this mod's texture files;
e) you follow sections 3A (NATO only) and 3B (rank and supply cost).
Permitted changes include, for example:
- New skins (nothing hateful or discriminatory);
- Adding or removing weapons, adding different ammunition types, or changing ammunition capacity;
- Changing the flight model, fuel, or damage taken or dealt;
- Adding seats or benches, or changing its intended role / creating new roles for it (e.g. firefighting).
3A. NATO ONLY
- The helicopters in this mod are for NATO-side factions only: the US, NATO or Western-aligned side, including modded or fictional factions that fill that role.
- In player-versus-player modes (e.g. Conflict), you may not give them to the Russian (USSR / RU) side or any equivalent opposing faction. There are only two exceptions:
a) Mirrored modes: both teams use the same set of helicopters and are only split into teams (e.g. Red / Blue), such as HFS' Heli Hardpoint.
b) Shared helicopter pool: every helicopter on the server is available to both sides - for example the AH-6M Little Bird, AH-1 Cobra, AH-64 Apache, Mi-8, Mi-24 Hind and Ka-50, and any other helicopter in use. Giving only this mod's helicopters to both sides is not allowed.
- Under either exception, both sides must get these helicopters at the same rank requirement and supply cost.
- Section 3A does not apply to Game Master, single-player or PvE / co-op scenarios, or to helicopters captured from the enemy during play.
3B. RANK REQUIREMENT AND SUPPLY COST
- You may lower or remove the rank requirement and supply cost of any variant. You may not raise either above the values set in this mod.
- You may not set any variant's rank requirement or supply cost higher than that of a more heavily armed attack helicopter available in the same game mode (e.g. the AH-1 Cobra, AH-64 Apache or Mi-24 Hind). If that helicopter is cheaper or available at a lower rank, this mod's variant must be lowered to match it or go below it.
4. REQUEST (NOT A CONDITION)
- The CHATTERBOX 9-8 variants are mine: same loadouts, my markings, locked to me. Please don't hide or remove them. They're my thank-you for buying the models and bringing them in for everyone through the mod.
5. GENERAL
- This mod is provided as is, with no warranty. I am not responsible for problems it causes with other mods, servers or saves.
- Anything not permitted in this licence needs my permission first - contact me via the Workshop page.
- I may change this licence for future versions. Each release is covered by the licence version shipped with it.
