Summary
Server-side AI Director mod that spawns a zombie or 3-man US fireteam behind each nearby player, pushing them toward each other and forcing encounters instead of avoidance.
Description
Karma Protocol — Dynamic Encounter Director
Karma Protocol is a server-side mod that changes how hostile AI spawns behave, with one goal: create player friction. Instead of static patrols or random encounters, an external AI Director tracks every player's position in real time and reacts the moment two players get close to each other.
How it works:
- The mod reports player positions, health, and gear to the Director every few seconds.
- The Director watches for players closing within range of one another.
- When that happens, it spawns a threat behind each player — on the side facing away from the other player.
- The threat is either a lone zombie or a 3-man US military fireteam, chosen at random.
- Because each threat spawns on the far side of its target, both players are pushed toward each other to escape — turning two players who might otherwise avoid each other into a forced encounter.
This is built for survival/PvP-focused servers that want more tension and more reasons for players to run into each other, rather than a quiet, empty map.
Notes:
- Requires a dedicated server running this mod alongside its companion Director backend.
- Spawn distance, cooldowns, and group composition are server-configurable.
- This is an early release focused on the core encounter mechanic — feedback and bug reports are welcome.
