PI - Destruction (Project Immersion)

Combat leaves marks. PI - Destruction makes buildings, doors, furniture, glass and trees react to bullets and explosions, and keeps the damage in the world.

DOORS AND WINDOWS
- Doors break in stages, then come off their hinges as real physics objects.
- Explosions throw doors and frames; wooden doors split into boards.
- Kick doors open (costs stamina). A kicked or flying door knocks people down.
- Window bars and railings bend in blasts.

EXPLOSIONS
- The blast wave breaks glass in line of sight, with a short delay over distance.
- Furniture nearby is wrecked; fragments go through thin walls.
- Scorch marks, roof debris and burnt holes in camo nets.
- Blast strength comes from the real charge of each warhead.

WALLS AND FURNITURE
- Walls show the hits: bullet holes, chipped plaster, exposed brick, cracked concrete.
- Destroyed furniture stays as a wreck. Desks and shelves spill papers.
- Broken glass lies on the floor.
- Buildings are 3x tougher by default (adjustable).

TREES
- Bullets cut trees at full damage.
- Blasts strip trees bare before they break.
- A falling trunk knocks down or kills people. It kills the crew of unarmored vehicles that it lands on. Armored vehicles protect their crew.

CURTAINS
- Curtains swing when shot or when bullets pass close. Close hits turn them into real cloth.

PERFORMANCE
- Built for large battles: effects run locally on each PC with a frame budget. Only damage goes over the network.
- Debris that stops moving becomes static and costs almost nothing.
- Smoke and dust from this mod only play near explosions. Bullet hits keep decals and debris.
- Every limit can be changed in the settings.

SETTINGS
Game Master > Project Immersion > Destruction (server):
- Building toughness, tree features, debris limits (doors, wrecks, fallen trees)
- Minimums that players can't go below, e.g. forced curtains
- Optional auto-optimize from players' performance budgets
- Save / Restore / Reset to file

Player settings (each PC): $profile:PI_Destruction_Client.txt
- PI effect distances, particles, bullet holes, scorch marks, floor glass, curtains and cloth
- Things that collide with players or vehicles stay server-controlled, so everyone sees the same cover.

COMPATIBILITY
- No vanilla configs are overwritten. Settings are added by script.
- Works alone or with other Project Immersion mods (shared "Project Immersion" settings tab).
- Vanilla and other mods' effects are not changed.

KNOWN LIMITS
- Players who join later MAY NOT see leaf stages or local debris made before they joined.
- Tree "half leaves" stage is not visible yet (planned).
