Ever sat in the gunner seat of a BTR or LAV with no one to drive? This mod lets the gunner take temporary control of the vehicle whenever the driver's seat is empty, without leaving the turret. The moment a real driver enters the pilot seat, control hands straight back to them and you return to manning the gun.
Built to be non-intrusive: no stock keybindings are overridden, no per-vehicle prefab forks, no vehicle-class blacklist. The mod hooks into the standard input pipeline and routes vehicle commands through server-authority RPCs, so it behaves correctly on dedicated servers without desync between client and authority.

Key bindings (only active while you are in a turret of a driverless ground vehicle):
W / S / A / D (or arrow keys) — Drive: throttle / brake / steer left / steer right
E — Gear up
Q — Gear down
Space — Handbrake. Hold for a momentary brake while held. Double-tap to engage persistently; press once again to release.
Numpad 9 — Engine on / off
Turret rotation keys are temporarily suppressed while you're driving so you don't accidentally aim the gun with the same WASD that's steering the vehicle. As soon as a driver climbs into the pilot seat, your inputs go back to controlling the turret as normal.

Compatibility
Designed to work with all ground vehicles in the base game, and should be compatible with custom vehicle models / vehicle mods that follow the standard Reforger vehicle component setup (CarControllerComponent or CarControllerComponent_B). No additional configuration is required, install the mod and any compatible vehicle picks it up automatically.

Work in progress — known issues
This is an early release. A few things are still being worked on:
Vehicles with a separately-rotating mount and gun (e.g. Humvee-style turrets where the mount swivels independently from the gun) are not yet fully supported. We're working on a fix that handles both rotation axes correctly.
Tanks are currently untested. They'll be addressed in a later update.
Gear changes can feel slightly delayed in some vehicles — this is the gearbox transition timing, not a bug.
Feedback and bug reports welcome.
