Project Outbreak Infection
by Project Outbreak
1.4.3
1.4.3 Less server work per infected body. Damage checks run the cheap refusals first, pending turns are checked in small batches, and a risen zombie keeps its blood state on its own body. A joining player now gets one message listing the bloodied zombies, instead of every client getting one broadcast per zombie. Debug lines only print when turn diagnostics are on.

1.4.2
1.4.2 The S-3 inhaler has no cap on its spray outlet any more, and the spray now puts the outlet to your mouth. The red end is now a dose counter: a lit digit that glows green when the capsule is full and turns red as it empties. You can now use the inhaler when you are not infected, and every spray uses one dose. One capsule holds at most 9 doses. The TT-7A analyzer has a new body: a worn olive-drab field case with a sun hood over the tube, the probe on its cable, and the TC-1 cassette, whose five lane windows show how many tests are left. It also has a new screen. The screen powers on when you raise the analyzer, the sample fills the capillary, a scan beam draws the three marker bands, and the result locks in with a flash in its colour. While you hold it, the screen now moves smoothly. Tests, timings and results are the same as before. Fixed: after one TT-7A test, you can now start the next test at once. Before, you had to put the analyzer away first. Fixed: the TT-7A screen in your hand now shows the live picture. Before, it showed a printed image. Credits: the S-3 inhaler and capsule are based on "COVID-19 Oral Vaccine Inhaler Prototype" by Gerardo Justel, and the D-4 syringe on "Syringe Prop" by Medessec, both CC BY 4.0. Changes and links are in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md in the add-on.

1.4.1
1.4.1 The S-3 inhaler now faces the right way: the red mouthpiece points at you and goes to your mouth, in first and third person. The spray now takes under 4 seconds (it locked you for over 9), and standing, the arm is held well out from the body. One S-3 capsule now gives five doses. S-3 Suppressant Tablets are back as a single-use option next to the inhaler. The capsule and the tablets are now in the regular faction arsenals. The inhaler has a new texture with an S-3 label and a mouthpiece that looks like a spray outlet, and the capsule has a clearer inventory picture. The inhaler no longer turns invisible in your hand after you give a dose to someone else. Credits: the S-3 inhaler and capsule are based on "COVID-19 Oral Vaccine Inhaler Prototype" by Gerardo Justel, and the D-4 syringe on "Syringe Prop" by Medessec, both CC BY 4.0. 1.4.0
1.4.0 The S-3 Infection Suppressant is now a reusable inhaler. Each S-3 capsule is one dose, and a dose is used only when it treats an infection. With an empty inhaler equipped, Gadget Activate (default R) loads a carried capsule. The inhaler has its own one-handed animations standing, crouched and prone, and its own spray and capsule sounds; the rifle stays in the other hand. Medic kits carry one inhaler and spare capsules. The D-4 Cure has its own syringe model. Credits: the S-3 inhaler and capsule are based on "COVID-19 Oral Vaccine Inhaler Prototype" by Gerardo Justel, and the D-4 syringe on "Syringe Prop" by Medessec, both CC BY 4.0. 1.3.5
1.3.5 Coughing is quieter by default and has a configurable volume, including mute. Game Master indicators show whether infection is active, scheduled off or disabled. Attacks from Project Outbreak stand-ins can infect. A turned zombie killed immediately after rising still counts as a completed turn.

1.3.1
1.3.1 Infection stage popups are off by default. Game Masters and server owners can enable them with Show Symptom Alerts or outbreak.json. Examination, diagnosis and treatment feedback remain available. When symptom alerts are enabled, the risen notification now reaches the original player after their old body reanimates. Includes updated Workshop information and component licence clarification.

1.2.2
1.2.2 - Uninfected unconscious players can respawn normally again. - Curing an unconscious player restores their option to respawn. Infected unconscious players keep their rescue and turning window. - Delayed respawn requests cannot kill a newly respawned character.

1.2.1
A dying infected body keeps the side it fell on, face down or face up. It plays one dying animation that starts and ends on that lying pose, and the zombie rises from the same pose with no cut. New setting, Terminal Kneel Percent (default 50). A standing or crouching victim sometimes sinks to the knees for about four seconds before the collapse. A kneeling player cannot move while it plays. ArmaVision (photo mode) camera properties open normally again. Infection settings appear only in the Game Master edit list.

1.2.0
1.2.0 - Infected zombies now join their correct horde when they rise. If a turn cannot finish, it stops cleanly instead of reporting the same error forever. - Infection yields when a Game Master deliberately zombifies a player, allowing the player to die and respawn normally while the old body becomes an AI zombie. - An infected player turns into a zombie when they die. Respawning later does not delay that zombie. A shot that destroys the head still stops the turn. - The new body keeps the gear they were carrying. Guns drop by default. The new Infection setting can keep them stowed on the zombie instead; the global Outbreak setting also enables this. Zombies cannot use them. - Player corpse handoffs remain compatible with add-ons built against Infection 1.1.0. - Large infected populations keep the existing bounded work limit.

1.1.0
1.1.0 - The V-1 infection vial can now be kept out of the arsenal. Turn it off on the infection system and the vial no longer appears in faction arsenals, in loot, or in a saved loadout. The cure, the suppressant, the diagnostic and the analyzer are unaffected. - Fixed editor settings that could quietly fail to load. - Someone who turns while sitting in a vehicle now gets out first and falls beside it, instead of falling through the vehicle.

1.0.6
1.0.6 - Coughs and the tissue analyser now come from the person or the device and pick up the room, instead of fighting door sounds and cutting out in a crowd. - Infection turns now use the same grounded zombie conversion as Game Master actions, retaining clothing and cargo while keeping grenades out of the hands. Turning zombies convulse on the floor and can be killed before getting up. - Infection settings can now come from a server settings file, so a server with no Game Master on it still runs the infection you chose, every restart. If the world has no infection system yet, one is set up for you. - Characters that the server or another game mode spawns are covered by this, so a defender you kill can get back up as a zombie like anybody else. - Infection medicine now appears in faction arsenals and loot pools, while the dedicated medical box remains free. - The tissue analyser self-test now has its own key. It still starts on V, and you can change it in Settings > Keybinds under Project Outbreak without moving your fire mode key. - Analyser hints now name the keys you actually use.

1.0.3
1.0.3 - Added optional disease-free suspicious coughs from healthy AI, a Game Master Make Cough action, and a placeable Cough Ambience Emitter. Each has its own setting and never transmits infection. - Expanded cough audio and added subtle breathing and sniffing signs during the hidden early stages of infection. - Coughs now fade naturally over distance instead of becoming completely silent after 24 metres. - Fixed the Cough Ambience Emitter being absent from published packages.

1.0.2
Hotfix 1.0.2: - Fixed the crash that was disconnecting players from servers. This add-on was changing a nametag setting in a way the game could not load, which left it empty and crashed players whenever their character changed. Players saw this as being kicked with a system failure. - Side effect while this is fixed properly: a body that is turning into a zombie shows a normal nametag again instead of reading as a corpse.
