# SAS Core Licensing
**SAS Core Licensing** is a module designed to manage compliance and authorized usage for terrains, missions, and assets provided under exclusive community partnerships.
### Purpose & Transparency Notice
Quality terrain and mission design in **Arma Reforger** requires substantial dedication and effort. In order to bring unique, high-tier experiences to our players, **SAS (South America Servers)** establishes agreements and collaborations with external development teams worldwide.
Our inaugural implementation supports our partnership with the **CIE (Conflict in Europe)** team.
Under the terms established by the original CIE authors, SAS was granted full access to their source project files to adapt, maintain, and run their terrain locally. In exchange, the CIE team **explicitly required that their terrain remain restricted to approved infrastructure**, preventing unauthorized distribution or uncredited hosting across arbitrary servers.
This licensing module exists solely to:
- **Honor intellectual property rights and partnership agreements** established with creator teams.
- **Prevent unauthorized redeployment** of non-public community assets.
- **Ensure server instances running proprietary map integrations hold verified authorization.**
### Technical Overview
- Runs server-side during the map/session bootstrap sequence.
- Validates the hosting instance against an authorized registry for protected contents.
- If an unauthorized host attempts to run a protected scenario/terrain, the server safely terminates execution and logs the licensing failure.
- **Client impact:** Zero impact on connected players; this is an administrative governance tool.

this mod automatically via the Bohemia Workshop solely to play on licensed servers.
2. STRICT PROHIBITIONS
Under this Custom License, it is strictly forbidden to:
a) Decompile, unpack, modify, alter, or disassemble any part of this mod;
b) Circumvent, disable, bypass, or spoof the license verification API or heartbeat;
c) Create stubs, mock classes, or patches intended to bypass server verification;
d) Re-upload, repack, bundle, or redistribute this mod or its scripts;
e) Use this mod to provide unauthorized authentication for third-party servers.
3. ENFORCEMENT & DMCA
Any attempt to tamper with this security mechanism, bypass licensing, or redistribute
modified versions will be met with immediate DMCA copyright takedown notices
filed with Bohemia Interactive and Valve/Steam, followed by administrative blacklisting.
