Summary
Laser designator integration for the WCS AH-64. Fires laser-guided
Hellfires at targets marked by a SOFLAM. Requires SOFLAM Integration Core.
Description
Laser-guided weapons for the WCS AH-64D. A SOFLAM operator on the ground marks
a target, the gunner fires, and the missile follows the mark.

REQUIREMENTS
- WCS_Armaments and WCS_AH-64D
- SOFLAM Integration Core <- REQUIRED, please subscribe
RVX Core is no longer used. It stopped compiling with current WCS Armaments in
August, and in Reforger a single failing mod takes the whole script module down.
Everything we used from it now lives in our own Core.
Do NOT run "WCS AH-64D Upgrade". It breaks the AH-64 turret down to 1-2 deg/s
and throws an exception every frame. That happens with our mod completely
unloaded too - it is not caused by us.
HOW TO USE
1. Load laser-guided ammunition: AGM-114LDG for the Hellfire, AGM-65LDG for the
Maverick.
2. Set the same four-digit laser code on the aircraft and on the SOFLAM. Each
digit runs 1 to 8.
IMPORTANT: leave the FIRST digit alone. The aircraft can change all four,
but the SOFLAM can only change the last three. Change the first one in the
cockpit and the codes can no longer be matched.
3. Select the guided missile as gunner. With a matching code and an active
laser, the missile follows the mark. Without one it goes where the gunner's
sight is pointing.
Range is no longer limited. Laser marks used to disappear beyond roughly 1600 m
because the operator's character was not streamed that far; every character is
now streamed to all clients regardless of distance.
GUNNER WEAPON STATUS SCREEN
The gunner's radio screen shows the full weapon status: rounds remaining per
station, cannon ammo, the current laser code, the attack mode, and whether
the seeker is locked onto your own code (ACQ TADS / ACQ DESIG). Works the
same way across all four loadouts - each shows only the stations it actually
carries.
RECENTLY FIXED
- Half of every Hellfire load used to fall off the rail - exactly 8 of 16,
every time. The upper row of each M299 pod sat too close to the pod body
for the engine to apply the launch impulse. All 16 now leave the rail at
78 - 94 m/s.
- Two separate causes of a missile crashing right after launch, both from
the same wobble in the first instant off the rail feeding back into its
own guidance. Fixed by locking the initial aim point once instead of
re-deriving it from the missile's own tumbling orientation every frame.
- Missiles now respect a 20 m ground-safety margin over terrain (except in
the final approach to the target), so they no longer fly through hills or
treetops on the way in.
STATUS
Work in progress, and honestly so: missiles fly and guide, but the hit pattern
still needs work.
