SAS_Freezetime

AS FreezeTime gives everyone a few minutes at the start of the match to get organized before the fighting starts. Squads form up, people grab their kits, and nobody rushes off in a helicopter while the rest of the team is still loading in.

We built it for our own servers at SAS (South America Servers) and decided to share it. It's standalone, so you can drop it on any Conflict server.

What it does:

- Shows a HUD at the top of the screen with the countdown, a progress bar and how many players are on your team. In the last 10 seconds it turns red and beeps, and when time's up it goes green and lets everyone know they're free to move out.
- Locks vehicle engines during the freeze. Cars, trucks, boats and helicopters all stay off until the timer ends. The "Start engine" action stays visible but greyed out, so players know why it isn't working.
- Handles server crashes. If the server goes down mid-match and comes back, it won't make everyone sit through the full freeze again. You only get the time that was left, or none at all if it had already ended. Normal restarts and map changes still start with the full timer.
- Translated into 13 languages.

Setup:

Everything is in $profile:SAS_Configs/FreezetimerConfig.json, which is created automatically the first time the server starts. You can change the freeze duration, the start sound, how long the "released" banner stays up, the countdown beeps, and whether ground vehicles and/or helicopters get locked. If you're coming from an older version, the new options are added to your existing file and your current values are kept.
