Summary
Server-side vehicle cap system that limits how many vehicles each faction can have at one time. It's designed to reduce vehicle spam and help server performance.
Description
What it does:
Adds separate live vehicle caps for Cars, Trucks, APC/IFV, Tanks, and Helicopters.
Applies those caps per faction, not globally. If helicopters are set to 10, each faction can have up to 10 of its own.
Tracks spawned vehicles and counts them against the correct category.
Blocks new vehicle spawns before they complete if the faction is already at cap.
Does not delete older vehicles to make room for new ones. If the cap is reached, the spawn is simply denied.
Prevents the old problem where a vehicle could spawn and disappear after already costing supplies/XP.
Runtime/admin features:
Default limits can be set in the config file for startup values.
A Game Master can change the limiter live in Scenario Properties under the vehicle limiter settings.
Changes made by the Game Master apply in real time during the match.
The limiter can also be toggled on or off at runtime.
Player-facing UI:
Vehicle depots show a persistent status panel when a player is in range.
The panel displays current live vehicles versus the cap for each category.
Categories turn red when that faction is full.
Players also get a clear blocked message instead of silently losing a spawn.
Default values:
Cars: 30
Trucks: 20
APC/IFV: 5
Tanks: 5
Helicopters: 10
Compatibility notes:
The mod is built to be scenario-agnostic and works by extending standard Reforger vehicle spawn and placement systems rather than hard-linking to one mission.
It supports modded vehicles through a mix of native vehicle type checks, name matching, and exact prefab override lists.
If another mod uses a completely custom spawn system outside the standard depot/build/Game Master flow, that system may need its own hook before the limiter can block it properly.
Performance/stability:
The limiter is lightweight by design.
It keeps an internal list of tracked live vehicles instead of constantly scanning the entire world.
It removes stale entries automatically when vehicles are gone.
Its UI only refreshes while relevant menus/HUD elements are active.
