Summary
Call in CAS and mortar fire missions as Game Master, with no aircraft or crews needed.
Description
GM Close Air Support & Fire Support
On-call fire support for Game Masters: no pilots, no mortar crews, no extra assets. You place a marker, aim it and call it in. Players on the ground get real impacts, tracers, projectiles and positional sound.
CAS: Gun Run
20mm or 30mm cannon, Hydra 70 rockets, or a stick of Mk 82 bombs, fired along the marker's arrow.
Strafe along a line or concentrate fire inside a circle.
Optional wingman for a flight of two.
Wave off a run while it's in progress.
The aircraft arrives, loiters overhead, makes its runs and leaves when its time on station runs out.
CAS: Gunship (new in 0.0.2)
An AC-130 circles the target and fires from its left side.
Three weapons:
20mm Vulcan bursts
40mm Bofors clips
105mm howitzer rounds
Fire a set number of bursts, or fire continuously until you cease fire.
Drag the marker to shift fire; the orbit follows it.
Rounds have real time of flight. From the ground you hear the drone overhead, and the guns' reports arrive seconds after the impacts.
Mortar Fire Missions
Place a mortar position (US M252 or Soviet 2B14, 1–4 tubes), then a fire mission marker.
The nearest position in range fires.
Real time of flight based on range and charge.
Patterns from single point to creeping and combing barrages.
For the GM
Outlines on each marker show where rounds will land, including danger zones.
The outlines turn orange when rounds are fired and flash shortly before they land ("shot" and "splash").
Everything is set from the marker's attributes and right-click menu.
Notes
Base game only, with no dependencies.
It adds to the Game Master editor without replacing vanilla configs, so it works alongside other GM mods.
Find the markers in the content browser under the Systems filter. Text search doesn't find them yet.
