Description
ATTRITION PVE: Conflict on Anizay against an AI commander
US players fight an FIA run entirely by an AI commander. The FIA plays the same Conflict game you do, with the same supplies, trucks and bases. Nothing is scripted, and nothing comes for free.
THE ENEMY BUILDS ITS OWN WAR
- No fixed enemy bases. The commander picks towns, drives a truck out, and its work party digs the command tent in with shovels, using real Conflict construction.
- Bases grow defences: wall rings, gates, depots and barracks. New tents stay within radio range of the rest of the FIA line.
- Every game is different: the HQs, the front, the enemy's bases and supply points, the caches, the time and the weather.
EVERY SUPPLY HAS TO BE DRIVEN THERE
- The FIA has no magic income. Its supplies come from supply points around the map and are hauled in by truck.
- On a quiet road a lone truck makes the run. Where there's danger, it gets escorts, and after repeated ambushes an APC. Routes steer around places where convoys were hit before.
- Kill the truck and the supplies are gone. Starve a base, and its troops and vehicles dry up.
IT FIGHTS BACK
- Raid a supply point or a base and a quick reaction force rolls out. Waves keep coming while you stay, and paratroopers can drop from AH-6M Little Birds.
- Ambushed convoys halt, dismount, pop smoke, fight, remount and drive on. Supply trucks try to push through.
- Armed UAZ patrols roam the roads. The driver turns the vehicle so the gunner can bring the gun to bear.
- Reinforcements and counterattacks pick up spare troops at bases on the way.
THE AI DRIVES PROPERLY
- All FIA vehicles drive with a purpose-built driving AI, not the vanilla one. It plans road routes, takes turns on one-lane stretches, gives way, turns round, makes hill starts and keeps convoys together.
PLAY IT YOUR WAY
- Hunt supply lines, scout convoys and call in air support, raid depots, or sit in a bush with an RPG.
- Intercepted radio traffic warns you of enemy departures, e.g. "Intercepted: a supply convoy leaving Riqay Airfield, heading for Maku, grid 68 55".
- Far from players the war runs off-screen. It spawns in as you approach, so what you find is what was really there. A Game Master camera counts as a player too.
