Summary
Slot-based squads with color-coded fireteams, chain of command and auto-tuned locked radios.
Description
Rico's Squad Interface replaces the vanilla squad system with a structured, slot-based squad setup: color-coded fireteams, NATO-style callsigns, a clear chain of command and radios that tune themselves.
Early test release (v0.1.0). Core features are working; some multiplayer situations are still being tested. Please report issues.
SQUAD SCREEN
Tactical squad roster replaces the vanilla squad menu and the deploy screen's squad list
Pick the exact slot you want; fireteams are Alpha (red), Bravo (blue), Charlie (cyan)
NATO-style callsigns: HQ, I-1 (Assault), R-1 (Recon), A-1 (Anti-Tank), K-1 (Weapons), G-1 (Fire Support), L-1 (Logistics), U-1 (Unmanned Systems), T-1 (Mechanized)
Squad types are available in every game mode with squads; slots don't force a loadout
CHAIN OF COMMAND
The squad leader is whoever sits in the Squad Leader slot
SL orders menu: make SL, make fireteam leader, move between fireteams, kick
Lock a squad once it's at least 50% full; accept or deny join requests
If the SL leaves, the longest-serving fireteam leader takes over
Squad members can vote to kick their SL (65%, needs 2+ voters)
An SL who is inactive for 10 minutes loses the SL role
On-screen banners when the SL or a fireteam leader leaves or changes
RADIOS
Auto-assigned on spawn and when picking up a radio, locked:
Squad leader: platoon net + squad net
Squad members: squad net + fireteam net
Commander: platoon net (locked) + one free channel
Each squad gets its own frequencies (38-52 MHz, 0.2 MHz steps)
COMPATIBILITY
Standalone, no dependencies
Not compatible with other mods that replace the squad menu, squad slots or radio auto-tune
