OPR SERVER FIXES

A collection of performance and bug fixes built for the OPR Fargo server network.


WHAT IT DOES

Optimised particle effects
  246 vanilla effects rebuilt. Around 72% fewer particles on screen at once,
  with the heaviest explosions cut hardest. Fire and smoke are reduced further
  again. Smoke grenades, smoke shells and parachute flares are left exactly
  vanilla so signalling and concealment play the same.

Light Cycle
  Client-side draw distance sliders for shadows, lights and emissive surfaces,
  plus a shadow lift that makes unlit interiors readable instead of solid black.
  Everything is off by default, saved per player, and works on console.

Entity cleanup
  Scheduled clear-out of wrecks and debris, removal of abandoned vehicles, a
  sweep for drone wrecks the garbage system never sees, and protection for
  deployed mortars and other player-built deployables so they are not taken
  early.

Fire and smoke duration
  Vehicle fires and their smoke burn out sooner.

Helicopter fixes
  Fixes a vanilla bug where a helicopter's own rotor kills the people riding in
  it during hard manoeuvres. Fixes helipads being counted against the helicopter
  spawn limit.

Published under the Arma Public License No Derivatives (APL-ND) and licensed for
use on OPR Fargo servers only.

You may not redistribute this addon, republish it, or publish a modified version
of it. APL-ND does not permit derivative works.

If you want to run it on a server that is not OPR Fargo, contact OPR Fargo
management first. We are not unreasonable - ask.

Servers running this addon without permission will show players an in-game
notice saying so. To be clear about what that notice does: it does not shut the
server down, kick anyone, restrict anything or degrade the game. Every feature
keeps working exactly as it does on a licensed server. It only displays the
notice.
