RENEGADE GARAGE
Persistent Vehicle Storage System | Arma Reforger
Renegade Garage is a multiplayer vehicle storage system developed for Renegade Project Reforged.
The system allows players to store their vehicles at designated garage terminals and retrieve them later, including after server restarts.
Designed for survival, roleplay, and persistent multiplayer scenarios, Renegade Garage provides a straightforward way to manage personal vehicles without requiring a complicated garage menu.
FEATURES
Persistent Vehicle Storage — Stored vehicles are saved to the server's garage database and can be retrieved after restarts.
4 Personal Garage Slots — Each player can store up to four vehicles.
Player-Specific Garages — Vehicle storage is associated with each player's persistent identity.
Vehicle Inventory Preservation — Supports saving and restoring stored vehicle inventory.
Vehicle Key Integration — Integrates with the NAL vehicle key system.
Dedicated Server Support — Garage storage and retrieval are handled server-side.
Configurable Garage Locations — Place garage terminals and spawn markers wherever your scenario needs them.
Multiple Garage Terminals — Set up garage access points around your map.
HOW PLAYERS USE IT
Storing a vehicle
Drive your vehicle to a designated garage spawn point.
Exit the vehicle and approach the garage terminal.
Select Store Vehicle.
The vehicle will be saved to an available garage slot and removed from the world.
Retrieving a vehicle
Approach a garage terminal.
Select the occupied garage slot you want to retrieve.
The stored vehicle will spawn at the designated garage spawn point.
Your vehicle is ready to use again.
Each player has four personal garage slots.
INSTALLATION FOR MODDERS & SERVER OWNERS
Step 1 — Add the mod
Add Renegade Garage and its required dependencies to your Arma Reforger project or server mod list.
Step 2 — Place a garage terminal
Create or place an entity configured with the following components:
RNG_GarageTerminalComponent
An ActionsManager configured with the garage interaction actions
The terminal is responsible for accessing player garages, locating the spawn point, and detecting nearby vehicles.
Step 3 — Place a garage spawn marker
Create an entity or prefab with the component:
RNG_GarageSpawnMarker
Position it where vehicles should be stored and retrieved.
The marker itself does not spawn vehicles. It identifies the location used by the garage system.
Step 4 — Configure the terminal
The RNG_GarageTerminalComponent exposes two configurable settings:
Setting
Default
Description
Spawn Search Radius
50 m
Distance the terminal searches for a garage spawn marker
Vehicle Detection Radius
8 m
Distance around the spawn marker used to detect vehicles for storage

The terminal automatically searches for the nearest valid RNG_GarageSpawnMarker within its configured search radius.
Step 5 — Configure garage actions
Ensure your terminal's ActionsManager contains the garage actions supplied with the mod, including the store and retrieval interactions.
Step 6 — Test the garage
Start your scenario, park a vehicle near the marker, and use the terminal to store it.
Retrieve the vehicle, verify that it spawns correctly, and test persistence across a server restart.
PERSISTENCE
Renegade Garage uses a server-side garage database to track each player's stored vehicles.
Garage data is saved under:
$profile:RNG_Garage.json
Stored garage data includes vehicle slot information and vehicle identities, with support for inventory restoration.
For reliable persistence, your server must retain its profile data between restarts.
IMPORTANT NOTES
The system is intended for multiplayer and dedicated-server environments.
The garage spawn marker must be within the terminal's configured search radius.
Keep the spawn area clear when retrieving vehicles.
The garage uses its own RNG_GarageSpawnMarker component rather than the NAL vehicle shop spawn marker.
NAL vehicle key integration remains part of the garage system.
