USASOC DCO AI EDIT (WORK IN PROGRESS)

Doctrine-based AI for Arma Reforger, built on top of DCO AI. Made for the USASOC milsim unit first, but usable by any milsim group.

This mod is a work in progress. Expect rough edges, and expect behavior to change between updates. Feedback and bug reports are welcome on the USASOC Modding Discord.

--------------------------------------------------
REQUIRES
--------------------------------------------------
- DCOAI
- MFDCOAI
- Optional: Tactical Animations Overhaul (enables insurgent blind fire)

--------------------------------------------------
US / USASOC BATTLE DRILLS
--------------------------------------------------
US and USASOC squads fight using US Army battle drills (FM 7-8):
- React to contact: the squad gets on line across the threat, every man in his own lane
- Mad minute: a short burst of heavy fire to win fire superiority
- Gets off the X after enemy explosions
- Bounds to better cover when it finds some
- L-shaped flank: base of fire holds while a maneuver element swings to the enemy's flank and assaults, with lift fire
- Assaults straight in when a flank isn't possible
- Breaks contact when outgunned, with the machine guns covering the first bound
- Building clearing: stack beside the door, pie the door, first pair takes the first room (corner fed / center fed), fall back if the clear is called off

--------------------------------------------------
OPFOR FIGHTING STYLE (Game Master setting)
--------------------------------------------------
Found in Scenario Properties, DCO Global Skill tab. Sets how every non-US faction fights:
- DCO Stock: unchanged DCO behavior
- Military Force: currently uses the US drills (its own doctrine is coming)
- Insurgent Force: hit and run, breaks contact after a short fight or a casualty or two, comes back from another direction, only assaults when heavily superior, holds buildings instead of clearing them, may scatter if the leader dies, and pinned men blind fire (with TAO)

--------------------------------------------------
FOR ALL FACTIONS
--------------------------------------------------
- Fire discipline: riflemen use aimed single shots at range instead of dumping ammo. Machine gunners still suppress.
- No shooting at walls: AI hold fire on an enemy they can't see who is behind a solid wall inside a building
- Free move: on a new waypoint, AI move straight to it instead of running back behind the squad leader first

--------------------------------------------------
WORK IN PROGRESS / PLANNED
--------------------------------------------------
- Military Force's own doctrine
- Building clearing past the first room and at interior doors
- Support team suppressing doors and windows during a clear
- AI fighting from windows and doorways instead of facing walls
- Per-squad Fighting Style setting

--------------------------------------------------
CREDITS
--------------------------------------------------
This mod would not exist without the work of others. Huge thanks to:
- Richz for DCO AI, the foundation everything here is built on
- Bale for Tactical Animations Overhaul, whose blind fire the insurgents use

All credit for the original systems goes to them. This mod only builds on top.
