INSURGENT AI BEHAVIOR (v0.9.1)

Turns Arma Reforger's AI into irregular fighters. Squads hesitate, push boldly, flank, pour on suppressive fire, fire blind from cover, set ambushes and break and run when overwhelmed. Every squad has a personality preset that you set in the World Editor or change live as Game Master.

FEATURES
- Seven presets: Tactician (default), Bold, Ambusher, Fanatic, Marksman, Mercenary, plus Coward (the state a squad enters when it breaks)
- Untrained accuracy and fire discipline per preset: aiming skill, aim error, burst length, aiming time
- Random reaction delays when an enemy group is first spotted
- Flanking, bold pushes, preferred fighting range, haphazard movement, all-in attacks
- Heavy suppressive fire and longer bursts
- Blind fire: pinned soldiers pop up and fire wildly toward the enemy
- Leaning around cover to get a shot
- Rockets fired at enemy infantry, not just vehicles
- Hive mind: friendly squads within 200 m share enemy positions after a short radio delay
- Retreat: outnumbered, badly hurt or facing armor without AT, a squad turns Coward and falls back to the nearest friendly squad, merging with it. With no friends nearby it fights to the last man.
- Ambusher: holds fire until the enemy is close, hits hard, slips away and sets a new ambush; goes for vehicles first with AT weapons
- Marksman (one-man squads): long-range single shots from high ground; moves to a new firing position when wounded or pinned
- Fanatic, Mercenary and Marksman never break on their own

WHO IS AFFECTED
- All AI squads, including modded factions
- FIA and civilians keep vanilla behavior by default (can be switched on)
- Player-led squads and AI crewing vehicles keep vanilla behavior

MISSION MAKERS
- Set each AI group's preset and on/off switch in its "Insurgent AI" properties
- Optional: add IAI_SettingsComponent to the game mode to change global values (retreat range, ambush distances, hive mind range and delay) and switch factions on or off
- Includes a ready-made one-man marksman squad: Group_USSR_IAI_Marksman
- All preset values are in Configs/IAI/IAI_Presets.conf

GAME MASTER
- Squad "Insurgent AI" tab: on/off, preset (setting Coward makes the squad retreat), ambush distances
- Faction "Insurgent AI" tab: on/off for the whole faction
- Game settings "Insurgent AI" tab: global switches and distances
- Game settings "Insurgent AI: Presets" tab: the main values of every preset
- Changes apply instantly and last for the session

KNOWN LIMITATIONS
- Blind fire is an approximation (brief exposure and wide fire, no special animation)
- Smarter cover selection is planned for a later version
- AI in vehicles is unchanged

See the User Guide (PDF) for every setting and default.
