JMParaAI – Parachutes, AI Paratroopers and Airborne Drops

WHAT IS IT?
JMParaAI brings working parachutes to Arma Reforger – for players and for AI. You can jump yourself, let AI soldiers jump out of a helicopter, or call a transport plane that flies over the map and drops a whole squad of paratroopers.
All parachutes and both aircraft are made from scratch for this mod. No other mods are required – only the base game.

FEATURES

1) Two parachute types, 10 colours each
- D-10 round parachute: classic military canopy. Sinks slowly and drifts a little in the direction you steer.
- Ram-Air parachute: steerable wing. Flies forward, turns fast and can brake.
- 10 colours from dark olive to sand, so 20 parachute backpacks in total.
- You can use your weapon while hanging under the canopy.
- Each parachute works once. After landing it is removed.

2) AI paratroopers
- AI soldiers open their parachute by themselves, steer towards their target and land close to it.
- After landing they continue to fight as a normal group.

3) Jump out of vehicles (Game Master)
- AI passengers jump one after another out of a helicopter, left and right in turn.
- Pilot and door gunners stay in their seats.

4) Airborne drop by plane (Game Master)
- A transport plane flies in from outside the map, passes over the point you clicked and drops paratroopers from both doors.
- Two aircraft: C-17A Globemaster and Il-112V.
- You choose the plane, the faction and the squad that jumps.
- The plane is AI only. It cannot be flown, entered or shot down.

HOW TO USE IT

Jump as a player:
1. Take a parachute backpack from the arsenal and wear it on your back.
2. Jump from a helicopter or any high place.
3. Press G while falling to open the parachute. Open it at least 30 m above the ground.
4. Steer:
   - Round parachute: W A S D, relative to where you look.
   - Ram-Air: A and D to turn, S to brake.
5. You land by yourself.

Let AI jump out of a helicopter:
1. Open Game Master.
2. Select the helicopter, a group or single soldiers that sit in it as passengers.
3. Right-click and choose "Fallschirmabsprung" (parachute jump).
4. Fly high enough – at least 80 m above the ground.

Airborne drop by plane:
1. In Game Master open the scenario settings and go to "Luftlandung" (airborne drop).
2. Choose "Flugzeug" (plane), "Land" (faction) and "Trupp" (squad).
3. Right-click on the drop zone and choose "Luftlandung (C-17)".
4. The plane flies over and the squad jumps. About one minute later they are on the ground.

WHERE TO FIND IT
- Parachute backpacks: in the arsenal of US and USSR, in the backpack section. Names: "Fallschirm D-10 (colour)" and "Fallschirm Ram-Air (colour)".
- "Fallschirmabsprung" and "Luftlandung (C-17)": in the Game Master right-click menu.
- Plane, faction and squad: Game Master scenario settings, category "Luftlandung".
- Menu entries and item names are currently in German.

GOOD TO KNOW
- Tested in single player with Game Master. Multiplayer has not been fully tested yet.
- The soldier hangs in a fixed pose under the canopy – there is no special hanging animation yet.
- The planes have no engine sound yet.
