USASOC AI AC-130 SPOOKY

An AI-flown AC-130U gunship you call in from the ground with the SOFLAM. It takes off on its own, sets up a left-hand orbit over your target, shoots what you lase, and stays overhead until you send it home.

WHAT IT DOES
- Full flight with no player crew: takeoff, orbit, landing, and back to its parking spot, ready for the next call.
- Its own GUNSHIP tab on the AIR SUPPORT REQUEST screen. The tab only appears while SPOOKY is able to fly.
- Three guns: 25 mm GAU-12, 40 mm Bofors and 105 mm M102, aimed by the AC-130's own fire control.
- Fire missions: pick the gun and the number of bursts or rounds, lase the spot, send. It fires, goes guns cold, and keeps circling for your next target.
- Walk fire around a target area without the aircraft moving its orbit.
- Overwatch: park it over an area with guns cold, then call fire when you need it.
- Danger close: initials are required when friendlies are near the target.
- Cease fire from the menu or with a double-tap of the laser key.
- Live feed: press F10 or Insert to watch through the gunship's sensor, small in the corner or full screen. The camera zooms in on the target, watches the rounds land, and holds for a damage assessment after the last burst.
- Automatic night vision on the feed when it is dark.

HOW TO USE IT
1. Game Master places RWY START and RWY END, and an AC-130U near RWY START with an AI in the pilot seat.
2. Look through the SOFLAM, switch the laser on, and hold it on one spot for 3 seconds.
3. Open the GUNSHIP tab, choose the task, gun, bursts or rounds, and orbit height, then SEND.
4. Lase and send again for each new target.
5. Choose Return to base when you are done. It lands and stays on call.

TASKS
- Fire mission: shoots the lased spot, then goes guns cold.
- Overwatch here: sets up or moves its orbit over the lased spot.
- Return to base: flies home and lands.

LIVE FEED
The feed is available once SPOOKY reaches the area of its orbit, and closes when it is sent home. With USASOC Drones in the air as well, the same key steps through the drone feed first and then the gunship. US and USASOC factions only.

REQUIRED MODS
- AC-130U Spooky
- USASOC CAS Core
- USASOC Fixed Wing Core
- USASOC AI C-130
- USASOC Drones (and the drone mod it needs)
- RVX Core (SOFLAM)

NOTES
- One gunship at a time, callsign SPOOKY 1-1.
- The gunship does not take CAS marks from the CAS tab. Use the GUNSHIP tab.
- Watching the live feed lowers frame rate while it is open, because the game draws a second view.
