JM Vehicle AI

Smarter driving and combat for AI ground vehicles – works with vanilla, RHS and modded vehicles. Server-side, multiplayer-ready and fully configurable.

DRIVING
- Brakes before curves and accelerates after them
- Driving styles: cautious / normal / hurry (automatic in combat)
- Convoy spacing based on speed, no rear-end collisions
- Anti-stuck: backs up and tries again, gives up after several attempts
- Oncoming traffic: one vehicle waits, then checks if the road is clear
- Honks at soldiers blocking the road – they step aside
- Damaged vehicles slow down, crews bail out of burning/immobile vehicles
- Headlights on at night, off during contact

COMBAT
- Breakthrough: soft vehicles drive through ambushes instead of stopping
- Armed vehicles retreat when heavily damaged, low on fuel or out of ammo
- Short halts to fire, then reposition
- Better turret aim, fire discipline and weapon choice (main gun vs. coax)
- Turret faces forward when no enemy is around
- Convoy support: nearby vehicles stop when one is attacked
- Tanks/IFVs wait for infantry before entering towns
- IFVs follow and support their dismounted infantry, then wait until everyone has re-mounted

LEARNING
- Learns per vehicle type from crashes, getting stuck and hits, and adjusts curve speed, convoy gap, top speed and short-halt time over time

All features can be switched on/off and tuned in Configs/JMVehicleAI/JMVAI_Settings.conf.
