Kunar Province was once firmly under NATO control. That changed after a coordinated series of strikes swept across the region, crippling NATO positions and forcing allied forces into a fighting withdrawal. FOB Michigan, located at Bagram Airfield, is the final NATO stronghold in the province. Cut off from the majority of allied forces and surrounded by hostile territory, the garrison has been ordered to hold the airfield at all costs. Intelligence reports confirm that Russian forces have moved into Kunar Province, exploiting the chaos left behind by the strikes.
