RESURRECT K-9 UNIT
Mitch, a trained German Shepherd, on every faction. He follows you, sits and stays on command, attacks the nearest enemy, hunts by scent and sound, and growls at what he sees. The dog runs on the server and is replicated to every client.

MITCH
- One prefab per faction (US, USSR, FIA) and a fallback for any other faction, all with the same dog
- By default every player gets a Mitch 20 seconds after spawning and a new one 60 seconds after he dies (mission header, see SETTINGS)
- Command him from the interaction menu on him: Sit, Stay, Follow, Attack nearest enemy, Hunt, Mode and Growl (every entry starts with "Mitch:")
- Follows at your side with a walk, trot and gallop, swims, jumps, avoids obstacles and catches up when you move away
- 150 health that regenerates after a few seconds without damage. Damage from you and your own faction is ignored
- Bullets that hit him get the flesh impact (blood spray and blood decal), not the hard-surface spark
- Own animations (idle variants, sit, lie down, listen, alert, sniff, track, swim, jump, hit, death) and his own set of sounds: bark, growl, whine, yelp, bite, sniff and pant

ATTACK
- Attack on sight (default): any enemy within 55 m is engaged, the nearest first, also while he is following you
- Mode "Do nothing": he never attacks by himself and stays at your side. The Attack order still works
- He reacts about twice as fast as a person: in the tests an enemy who comes into view, or an Attack order, has him running within 0.05 to 0.15 seconds (a person needs about a quarter of a second). He barks on the run instead of standing still to bark
- The attack is a full pounce: he leaps, bites the arm, pulls the soldier down, drags and shakes him, then lets go and returns
- He gives up a target that is out of reach or too far from you
- After a fight he is ready for the next enemy after 2 seconds

HUNT
- Hunt sends him searching around you. It stops when you give another order
- He cannot see through walls. He sees what is in line of sight, hears and smells what is not
- Hearing depends on how the target moves: crawling and standing still are nearly silent, walking, running and sprinting carry further. Gunshots and explosions are heard from far away
- Walls and buildings muffle sound but do not stop it. Rain masks hearing
- Scent: people leave a trail with every step. He picks it up, follows it with his nose to the ground, loses it when it is too old, and wind carries scent in the air
- A lead is investigated: he goes to where he heard the shot or the steps, sniffs the ground and the air, listens and looks around
- He attacks an enemy he finds, then goes back to hunting. In Do nothing mode he does not bite: he stands off about 6 m away and barks at the target so you can decide
- Growl: he growls at anyone he sees. Switch it off with the Growl entry

/MITCH (LOST OR GLITCHED MITCH)
- Type /mitch in chat. Mitch is put back at your side exactly as he is: health, the Mode and Growl switches and Sit / Stay stay. A running attack, hunt or chase is ended
- It only works while you are alive and Mitch is alive, and only once every 30 minutes per player (the time starts when it worked)
- Mitch's answer or the time left comes back as a chat message

FOR SCENARIO AND SUPPORT MODS
- Switch "K9 enabled" off in the mission header and no Mitch appears by himself
- Call him from script on the server with: IEntity mitch = RES_K9_Mitch.Spawn(playerId);
He appears behind that player's living character, with the prefab of the player's faction, and that player is his owner. If the player already has a live Mitch nothing is spawned and the existing one is returned
- RES_K9_Mitch.HasMitch(playerId) and RES_K9_Mitch.GetMitch(playerId) read the state. When and by whom he is called (squad leaders, timers) is the calling mod's business
- Prefabs: Prefabs/Characters/K9/RES_K9_Mitch_US.et, RES_K9_Mitch_USSR.et, RES_K9_Mitch_FIA.et

SETTINGS (mission header, category "RES K-9")
- K9 enabled: on = every player gets Mitch automatically, off = only RES_K9_Mitch.Spawn makes him
- Spawn delay: 20 s
- Respawn delay: 60 s
- Max dogs: 64

AVAILABILITY
- Works in any scenario with players of any faction
- No dependencies other than the base game
- Server side: install the mod on the server. Clients load it like any other mod
