Description
GSC X TWS Mic Verification
One-time microphone verification for your server. When a player joins, they're shown a short on-screen prompt asking them to hold their proximity chat key and read a sentence out loud. The server listens for real voice data - once it hears enough, the prompt swaps to a thank-you and closes, and that player is never checked again for the rest of the match. Anyone who doesn't verify within the grace period is kicked.
HOW IT WORKS
- Server-side only - no client-side mod required, nothing extra for your players to install.
- Detects genuine speech via the game's own voice transmission data. Just holding the key without talking cannot pass the check - a short, measured threshold filters out silent key-presses.
- The check-in window is a lightweight on-screen overlay, not a menu - it never blocks movement, chat, or the proximity-chat keybind while it's shown.
- Tracks players by their Bohemia identity, so reconnecting during the same match doesn't ask again.
FULLY CONFIGURABLE - NO REBUILD REQUIRED
Every setting is adjustable live, in-game, via Editing -> Scenario Properties -> TWS Mic Required:
- Enforce - toggle actual kicking on/off (log-only mode for a trial run)
- Grace Period - minutes to verify before being kicked
- Required Qualifying Events / Min Transmission Events / Transmission Gap - fine-tune the speech-detection anti-cheat
- Show Delay - keeps the prompt from appearing during loading/deploy
- Check Interval
- Kick Reconnect Lockout
- Bypass Admins - server-listed admins skip the check entirely
- Debug Logging - troubleshooting only
Settings are saved automatically and survive mission changes and full server restarts.
Works with any game mode - hooks into the base game mode, so it runs on Conflict, Game Master, Combat Ops, or any custom scenario with no extra setup.
