Summary

USASOC Ai Flying C130

Description

USASOC AI C-130

An AI-flown C-130 for airborne drops and airlift. Seat an AI pilot, give it a mission from Game Master or a SOFLAM, and it takes off, flies the mission, lands and parks on its own.

MISSIONS
- Airborne drop: flies to a drop zone, calls stand up / hook up, gives the green light and drops jumpers and cargo. Parachutes are handed out automatically.
- Transport flight: carries troops and cargo from one airfield to another with no drop zone. No parachutes, and the pilot briefs the passengers on where they're going and how long it takes.
- Local flight: takes off and lands back at the same airfield.
- Formations: several C-130s boarding at the same runway fly as one flight.

AIRFIELDS
- Named airfields: HOME, ALPHA, BRAVO, CHARLIE, each marked with RWY START and RWY END.
- The aircraft flies a pattern, clears terrain on final, flares and lands, then returns to its parking spot.
- Landing types: normal, assault (steep approach, short stop) and combat (high dive in).
- A parked C-130 with its AI pilot stays on call for the next request.

GAME MASTER OPTIONS

- RWY START: destination, cruise height, boarding time, landing direction, landing type, what to do after landing.

SOFLAM (AIRLIFT tab)

DAMAGE
- A damaged aircraft aborts and diverts to the nearest airfield.
