Summary

USASOC Ai Flying C130

Description

C-130 AI Pilot: Airborne Ops
AI-flown C-130s for airborne operations. Put an AI in the pilot seat, mark a runway and a drop zone, and the aircraft handles boarding, takeoff, the run-in and the drop, then clears the area on its own.
Setup (Game Master or map markers)
Place RWY START and RWY END on the runway centreline.
Place a DZ. Set the drop height by raising the DZ into the air, by typing it in the Drop height field, or in the name (e.g. DZ 1000 Alpha).
Optional: IP sets the run-in direction over the DZ. RTB makes the flight land again instead of despawning.
Park one or more C-130s near RWY START and seat an AI pilot in each.
Flight
A shared boarding period with the ramp fully down and countdown pop-ups, then a final call. Ramps close, and the aircraft take off one after another, 15 seconds apart.
The lead flies whatever route it needs to set up a long, straight, stable run-in over the DZ, then slows to drop speed.
Several aircraft fly a V formation. #2 and #3 are stepped up on the lead, and further aircraft form a second V behind.
Each aircraft gives its own calls:
Ramp to jump position, red light and "OUTBOUND JUMPERS, STAND UP, HOOK UP".
Cargo and vehicles go first, released by the C-130's own release computer so they land on the DZ.
Then the green light and the jump sequence.
Afterwards the formation climbs out and despawns once it's far from the DZ and every player. With RTB, the aircraft land in trail instead. No aircraft despawns with a player on board.
If the lead is lost, the next aircraft takes over.
